President Donald Trump is headed to Texas on Oct. 22 to hold a rally at NRG Arena in Houston. Trump had promised to visit the state before Election Day to campaign with U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz in his re-election bid.

Trump's campaign announced Monday evening that the rally will take place at the NRG Arena. The date marks the first day of early voting for the November election, in which Cruz faces a strong challenge from U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke, D-El Paso.

Hopefully he will have some Republican Congressmen who are in tight races there to add support for them.

Who’s going to the Houston rally?

Wish I could....but standing in line for hours? I don’t think so. LOL!

I’m not up for that standing around for hours business.

Also, I’ve read of thousands of folks not being able to get in.

Hooray for the enthusiasm, but thousands of disappointed folks wasting time hardly seems like anything positive.

Looks more like poor planning.

They should have had it in one of the big football stadiums, IMHO. There are way enough Texans to fill one of those!

I think a majority of Texans have figured that Bait Hoe wants to take away everyone’s guns.

Partner, NRG stadium will be jammed packed!!!

Senator Cruz will win the election easily since now we our POTUS coming to Houston.

Senator Cruz was going to beat the ole "Beetoooow" since "Little Beeetoooow" does not even have a message.

Of course this is a common disease of the Rats and Rat party.

Partner, it has been like that at every single event where President Trump will speak.

There is a limit set by the local Fire Marshall on how many people can be inside the building.

This will tell you a lot about the enthusiasm for the election of Republicans and the popularity of President Trump across the fruited plain.

Yes.

But how exactly is pissing off eight times the number of people who got in a brilliant success?

If I drove somewhere and stood around for hours and didn't get in I'd be pissed off.

Would you enjoy it?

It’s NRG Arena not NRG Stadium, big difference. Many people will be turned away.

I think I am on of the few people in Tx that watched the debate the other night.

It was rather lackluster, but tonight I flipped on the news at the VFW, A Beto ad ran, and Every woman in that place said “that guy is a wiener boy”

When, Trump has his rally, Beto will be gone.

What stunned me most about Cruz and Beto in San Antonio, is neither mentioned the flooding.

Well, that is true about security issues at a stadium. I was just thinking of all the fans that won’t be able to get into the venue. Thank goodness he has started putting big-screen TVs outside for the overflow crowd to watch on.

I look forward to watching it on Right Side Broadcasting Network [RSBN] though. They’re the ones that pan the crowds when all the others lie and say that the arenas are ‘’half empty’’.

Trump will get a rousing Texas welcome I am sure.

That stuns me, too. That would have shown instant empathy with the audience. I must say, I didn’t have the guts to watch it. Beto makes my skin crawl. Loved what ‘’your ladies at the VFW’’ said. LOL!

Are you getting some of it there where you are? I have a friend who lives on Lake Stamford, north of Abilene, who was forced from her home by the flooding there. She’s having to stay in a hotel. I invited her here, but she said she was fine at this point.
