Taking away the right of the law abiding will NOT protect you from the non law abiding.

“He’s talking about gun control, a subject that touches raw nerves across the US, even in serene, bucolic Vermont. Perhaps especially in Vermont.”

“Serene, bucolic” - read rural.

Of course people will want the right to have guns for protection.

Reading through the article, there did not appear to be any mention whatsoever of Vermont for all of those years being one of the areas of the United States having the most casual or permissive states pertaining to firearms laws, yet being one of the least violent. This sort of dishonesty is likely not that terribly surprising from the BBC or other media outlets, but still worth pointing out.

One would expect the idiot Brits, living as helpless sheep in a cage populated by savage third world worlders, would applause this idiot.

I hope he loses. We can spare a governor.

“During a governor’s debate in Rutland two weeks ago, Mr Scott frequently came down on the liberal side of hot-button national political issues.

He said manmade climate change was real - and governments should take action. He expressed support for a Medicare-for-all universal government healthcare system. He spoke of the benefits of immigration.”

So the choice there is between a turncoat liberal RINO and a leftist tranny. Sounds like California.

Any politician who can be so easily manipulated does not deserve our support. Being a leader requires a bit of fortitude and critical thinking. Absent that, they are worthless.

I am not from VT but I am American and have never even heard of Phil Scott. I lived in MA until 2008, too.

It doesn’t surprise me that Left loons would be popular in New England though.

Did anybody bother to ask which of these new laws would have prevented the massacre had it been carried out?

What an idiot this guy is.
