Nelson swung 2,570 votes with the recount, legal shenanigans with the “cured” VBM ballots and with overseas ballots. That really shouldn’t happen and is unprecedented.
Scott also lost 779 votes during the recount that should have went his way, because Broward and Hillsborough decided to throw out their machine recount totals, because they were better for Scott.
Broward also “lost” 2000 votes that no one can find now.
The GOP has full control over Florida. They need to fix the elections there in the next two years. There is absolutely no excuse for this debacle. The GOP needs to come in and clean house on elections. Broward already has a plan in place for 2020 if they aren’t stopped now.
They GOP also needs to remove CCW oversight from the Agriculture Commissioner. Again, they have full control, and it’s a simple and easy fix.
DeSantis will get to appoint 3 Conservatives to the FL Supreme Court, so there is absolutely ZERO reason for the GOP to take this lying down.

One thing that I was wondering. Imagine if Nelson pulled ahead by 100 votes with not including the Scott advantages disallowed because they came in after the deadline (For Broward that was 2 minutes after). What would have happened?
It is not clear to me what would have happened. If the Rs and Ds were reversed, then it would be clear to me the D's would howl and that the result would be changed to include the late ballots.

And the NYT review this morn, stated Florida ‘lost’ another 900 votes for a combined total of 2940.
According to nonpartisan election experts that figure is unprecedented and beyond the realm of normalcy. The election statisticians referred to it as just ‘kooky.’

I read one yesterday that reminded us that a few weeks back we had a Mega-Millions Lottery with MILLIONS of people buying tickets all over the USA.

So the lesson here is win by 15K-20K minimum. Which looks easy enough on paper, but in Florida is the equivalent of winning by the entire population of Punta Gorda or Fort Walton Beach.
