EXCLUSIVE: GOOGLE EMPLOYEES DEBATED BURYING CONSERVATIVE MEDIA IN SEARCH
Daily Caller ^ | 12/1/18

Google employees debated whether to bury conservative media outlets in the company’s search function as a response to President Donald Trump’s election in 2016, internal Google communications obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation reveal.

The Daily Caller and Breitbart were specifically singled out as outlets to potentially bury, the communications reveal.

Trump’s election in 2016 shocked many Google employees, who had been counting on Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton to win.

Communications obtained by TheDCNF show that internal Google discussions went beyond expressing remorse over Clinton’s loss to actually discussing ways Google could prevent Trump from winning again.

There were studies that suggested Google’s prejudicial oppression of conservative content and voices swung the election 1% to the left.

Reason 316 why Google is not welcome, in any form, into my home.

On a related issue about bias online, I went to the online Webster dictionary to look up the definition of the old-time English insult ‘mountebank’ (frauds and swindlers) and here are the examples of usage provided. Bias against conservatives, indeed:

Examples of mountebank in a Sentence -
Recent Examples on the Web:

He was ignored on almost every major issue by the incredible cast of fools and mountebanks with whom the president* has surrounded himself. — Charles P. Pierce, Esquire, “The Rex Tillerson Story Is Full of Holes,” 13 Mar. 2018

Laying it off on senior administration officials will no longer fly given the liars, hustlers, incompetents, poseurs and mountebanks who dominate this West Wing. — David Zurawik, baltimoresun.com, “Press gives Trump ‘fake news’ ammo when it predicts things that don’t come to pass,” 9 Mar. 2018

These example sentences are selected automatically from various online news sources to reflect current usage of the word ‘mountebank.’ Views expressed in the examples do not represent the opinion of Merriam-Webster or its editors. Send us feedback.

If you want to use the internet, you don't have a choice.

Google has burrowed it self so completely into every facet of internet based computing it is literally impossible to completely avoid using their technology.

That is hard. Google owns a lot of stuff. YouTube, for instance. Many web sites use Google Analytics (best confounded by using Tor, proxies, ad blocks, ghostery, anonymizers, etc.) but next to impossible to lock out completely.

about 8 months ago google employees petitioned the ceo to not do business with the US military. The ceo said, OK. So then they signed on with a Chinese university to provide AI technology and do research The university works with the Chinese military.

The normal national defense response would be to invite google to leave the US. But they still are here and this stifling of conservative speech is indeed another example of why they don’t belong in the uS.

If you have an Android for a phone you have to find workarounds.

I doubt that “Google employees debated whether to bury conservative media outlets in the company’s search function”

My guess is that the debate was just over the best way to do it, and how to get away doing it.

You miss my point.
When was the last time you used any search engine to find “news”?

Every day.

Wow.

I can't even imagine doing that, using a search engine to find news.

Have you heard of Free Republic?

In the debates, when Hitlery said:”Google it.” I knew the fix was in. I rechecked some facts I saw the week before, and...LO! They were GONE! Replaced with irrefutable, SNOPES verified BS.

How could that be? </sarc>

Duh. How do you think people who post the articles here find them? Google News is a major way.

There is a separate part to it called Google News. You don’t just search on Google. You go to google, then News, there you can search for anything by keyword. Ie, you can search for “caravan.” Then you can drill down to “sort by date” for the latest BS the media is spewing on the caravan. I don’t like google but it is how I find most of my articles to post.

I admit to not knowing what the term ‘docksing(sp)’ means, but I am curious what all those weasels at google would do, if, as an academic exercise in thought only, all the conservatives in the nation chipped ONE DOLLAR AND NO MORE, to hire a private investigator to obtain just ONE snapshot of each of the employees, as they were, oh say, at the hair place, the gas station, the supermarket, a cinema, a mall, or wherever they just might happen to be found, and then publish all the pictures at once?
Mind you, I did not mention any activity which would breach their “privacy”.
