IHOP is joining the mass of advertisers abandoning Fox News host Tucker Carlson's show after his controversial comments about immigration last week.
"At our core, we stand for welcoming folks from all backgrounds and beliefs into our restaurants and continually evaluate advertising to ensure it aligns with our values," IHOP said in a statement to Business Insider.
"In this case, we will no longer be advertising on this show."
At least 12 advertisers have stopped advertising on the show since last week, according to The Hollywood Reporter, whichfirst reported the news that IHOP was cutting ties with Tucker Carlson's show.
Last Thursday, Carlson said in a segment that the US needed more "scientists and engineers," as the country seeks to fill automated and tech-centered jobs.
"Instead we're getting waves of people with high school educations or less. Nice people, no one doubts that, but as an economic matter this is insane. It's indefensible, so no one even tries to defend it," he said.
"Instead our leaders demand that you shut up and accept this. We have a moral obligation to admit the world's poor, they tell us, even if it makes our country poorer and dirtier and more divided."

IHOP just made my ‘no more’ list. Too bad - they have yummy burgers and my youngest loves their french toast.
The “dirtier” part of Tucker’s statement got IHOP’s executives’ PC panties in a wad. They immediately and falsely interpreted it to mean “brown people are inherently dirty,” when in fact Tucker was referring to the mountains of trash illegal border crossers throw all over our landscape.
Environmentalists USED to care about pollution from overpopulation. But due to a combo of “intersectionality” and the overriding Deep State’s open borders agenda, no more.

I haven’t been to an iHop in 30 years. Their restaurants are dumps and have cockroaches. That’s the reason I never went back, cockroaches crawling on the walls and tables.
You get yer stack o pancakes, put a big pat a butter on it, some maple syrup, spread that E. coli all around, thems good eats, boy.

I object to anyone equating me as an IMMIGRANT with illegal aliens and thus lowering my status as a nationalized American citizen and a former alien who entered the United States legally having fulfilled all the IMMIGRATION requirement ...
I’ve been to IHOP many, many times over the years. I’ve never had that experience you’ve described. IHOP serves a higher-quality breakfast than most, IMO.

I liked I Hop when I was young, but they changed. It is their food that has kept me away the last 30 years.
