Abortion was the number one cause of death worldwide in 2018, with more than 41 million children killed before birth, Worldometers reports.

The 41 million is world-wide. It was riding 50 million and above for many years. In the US, it’s been over a million a year since shortly after Roe v. Wade.
In Russia, it’s used as a form of birth control and multiple abortions per woman is very high. China, with its one-child policy and forced abortions, probably has the highest per-capita rate. Given its large population, it probably has the largest number of abortions.
