18 month old Richie needs your prayers

Prayer Warriors have seen this but we need everyone to offer prayers for Richie.

Picture a few months old but the only one I have available.

First a little history .... The last week of November, Richie received several vaccines which included the flu vaccine.

On December 2nd, he was hospitalized with paralysis of his arms and legs. He was put on a respirator and the outlook was bleak. I posted a note on FB asking for prayers from family and friends.

Richie is the grandson of a cousin who is more like a little brother than a cousin.

Since my original request for prayers, we are seeing progress. They trached (sp) him a few days ago.

On January 1st, he was able to breathe without the ventilator for 5 hours before getting too tired to continue. About the same time he "kicked" his daddy. Voluntary or reflex but his daddy was thrilled and hopes to be kicked again.

A few days ago, I received this encouraging update. ....
They did a small swallow evaluation today. Just a spoon with a few drops of water; he swallowed and wanted more. This means that his esophagus is capable of moving food down to his stomach. The family says this is great news and please keep the prayers coming. Also, please let everyone how very thankful they are. Lots of work to do but all these baby steps help. .... Thank you, God, for hearing our prayers. 🙏🙏🙏





More good news on the 3rd. Being in his chair is helping with his breathing. Thank you, Father.

The doctors are in agreement that Richie will never progress more than where he is right now. Probably not coming off the ventilator and the physical therapists are saying he has very little voluntary muscle movement. We believe in God’s power. We believe the power of God is above all else.
We ask that He guide Richie’s medical team.
We continue to put our faith in God as we ask for his healing embrace for Richie.
We believe in the power of prayer and thank God for his intervention in Richie’s progress.

We ask that you add Richie’s name to your prayer list and/or church prayer lists. God is listening. ....

Prayers coming to you a million times over.

Last winter my son was on life support. On January 26 the doctors came out and said he was the most critical patient in the hospital and basically would not make it through the night.

He came home for Christmas. Never give up. The power of prayer is unbelievable.

Ready for some good news?



Thank You, Father, for showing us that doctors do not know everything.

After having water thrown on our optimism yesterday, Richie came through with another amazing fete.

For the first time since being hospitalized, Richie graced his dad with a smile. God is listening.

He also resisted when one of his doctor's lifted his arm. This was NOT a reflex action.
