House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA) announced Friday night that he is filing a lawsuit against CNN over a report that they published the same evening that alleged an indicted associate of Rudy Giuliani was willing to testify to Congress that Nunes met with a former Ukrainian prosecutor last year to discuss digging up dirt on former Vice President and current Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.
“The attorney, Joseph A. Bondy, represents Lev Parnas, the recently indicted Soviet-born American who worked with Giuliani to push claims of Democratic corruption in Ukraine,” CNN reported. “Bondy said that Parnas was told directly by the former Ukrainian official that he met last year in Vienna with Rep. Devin Nunes.”
“Mr. Parnas learned from former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Victor Shokin that Nunes had met with Shokin in Vienna last December,” Bondy told CNN. “Nunes had told Shokin of the urgent need to launch investigations into Burisma, Joe and Hunter Biden, and any purported Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election.”

Two pieces recently published in both outlets–one from Daily Beast earlier this week, and one from CNN published late Friday–alleged that the Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas, who is now indicted on unrelated charges, helped Nunes with a variety of matters when digging into Ukrainian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election on behalf of Democrats.
Only wish Nunes could file the suit in a locale other than Washington,D.C. or metro Atlanta. Doubt he would get a fair jury in those places.
About time they started fighting back. President Trump and Elise Stefanik have shown that growing cajones is contagious.

I think it was Swalwell who entered this into record during the hearings? I remember they showed a shot of Schiff and Nunes side by side with a huge smile on Schiff and a very obvious pissed Nunes.

Nunes can file right near his favorite naval base at a court in San Diego.

I wonder if he couldn’t justify filing suit within his own District. It is arguable that actual or real damages to his reputation would occur amongst his voter base within his district.

Great - something must be done with the media. They have become so dishonest and are no more than a tool for socialist propaganda.
An honest and accurate media is necessary for the kind of Republic described in the US Constitution.
What Nunes is doing should become the rule for every dishonest piece published in print, airways or internet. This includes some of our conservative journalists also.
All Nunes has to do is get the flight records and prove he wasn’t in the Ukraine. Very simple.
I am thinking he entered it during this last hearing during the 5 minute rounds. Pretty sure this was when it was entered but not for sure it was Swalwell. I remember noting that it was quite a huge accusation, and if true didn’t look good on the credibility of Nunes at all. I was also hoping it was very false fake news as soon as I heard it.
Why is Nunes associated with a cow?
I suggested for years that we need a special effort to get young conservative folks to get into news media and education. Think of it as a service to country similar to military service. It is the only way America survives.
