Anti-immigrant author and activist Peter Brimelow is suing The New York Times for $5 million for dubbing him an “open white nationalist” in an article last year.
Brimelow, who runs a website that has published pieces from white supremacists, is suing The Times over a January 15, 2019 article that detailed the chronology of racist comments from Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa). The story briefly mentioned Brimelow and noted that he and the lawmaker had appeared on a panel together at the 2012 Conservative Political Action Conference.
Brimelow accused The Times of performing a “stealth edit” to the initial version of the story, changing its description of him from an “open white nationalist” to a “white nationalist.” He maintains he is a “civic nationalist.”
Brimelow says in the suit he has been “injured in his good name, fame, credit, profession, and reputation as a man, and in his various public and private positions, callings, and lines of endeavor, and has been held up to public ridicule before his acquaintances and the public, and to suffer the loss of prestige and standing in his community and elsewhere.”
The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York., says The Times never printed a correction or clarification in the online or print version of the paper and declined to publish his letters disputing the description.

I hope he can get $$ from the NYT but I’d guess it’ll be hard to collect.
The tabloid might be hard pressed to come up with the cash. It may be faster if he can get it from the insurance carrier.

Why is being an advocate for his people something that makes Brimelow a bad guy?
It was considered the norm for 300 years in Anglo-America. Now it’s bad because it bothers Mexico and Africa?
Take the case of James Edwards. He was alluded to as being a 'leader' of the KKK (he isn't and never was) but he still lost.

I have black friends who want the USA put first by their reps and want immigration laws enforced, they are “black nationalists” but the left and the media try to misinform people that “white nationalist” means “white supremacist” and no doubt if this case goes to trial these leftist scumrats will LIE about what they meant.
Who I want to see sued is Debbie Wasserman Schultz who accused immigration services director Ken Cuccinelli of being a “white supremacist” who “wants to keep brown people out”. If I was Ken I would be suing that effin bitches ass off.

The designation of White Nationalist is also a blatant and obvious attempt to generate hate mobs against the individual.

Nothing wrong with being a nationalist who happens to be white. I’m one myself. However, in today’s terminology a white nationalist is someone who believes their nation should consist entirely of white people.

“Nationalist” has always meant “patriot”. In their minds being white and a patriot is a bad thing.

Valid claim. The label “N-zi” is considered justification for violence by the left. It is akin to smearing someone a blasphemer in the Islamic world knowing full well it will incite a violent mob to attack them and burn down their home - even when it is someone demanding back pay or the return of a kidnapped daughter.
