Retaliatory duties on some U.S. goods will be cut from 10% to 5%, and from 5% to 2.5% on others, according to a statement from China’s Ministry of Finance. The adjustments will take effect from 1:01 p.m on Feb. 14, it said, without specifying which time zone it was referring to.
The statement said the move was made in order to “advance the healthy and stable development of China-U.S. trade.”
China said that the next adjustment will depend on how Sino-U.S. trade ties evolve, adding it hopes to work with Washington to completely eliminate all tariff increases.

What I worry about are the China products coming here. Some of them will have a certain virus on them.

Trump has a super-duper trade team populated by guys like Peter Navarro who have been wanting to do this for years. Kudlow and Mnuchin have been good on trade. Perot and Pat Buchanan campaigned on fair trade in 1992...I worked for both.
We should have tightened up trade 20-25 years ago and we would still have much of our industrial base that we foolishly let China grab from us. Entire factories were shipped to China at steep discounts. F our leaders back then!
Blame Bush-Clinton-Bush, total sellouts and idiots. Blame Congress and Senate.
Blame Wall Street which made out like bandits on our de-industrialization. F ‘em all and they should end up in hell.
