Former U.S. attorney Joe DiGenova says the public shouldn't worry about whether or not charges are filed against Barack Obama and Joe Biden for their role in the weaponization of the intelligence community against Donald Trump and his campaign.
"Shaming" them will undoubtedly happen, with or without charges, he argued in an interview with Boston radio host Howie Carr.
"I happen to believe that the public shaming of former President Obama and Vice President Biden is far more important than indicting them," he said.
Attorney General William Barr said Monday he does not expect the Justice Department's review of the origins of the Obama administration's Trump-Russia probe to lead to a criminal investigation of the former president and vice president.

I’m bit confused why many here would think that the DoJ would indict a former president? The politics of it makes it impossible.

We should be peeved that Comey is still walking free. That’s the real travesty.

DiGenova is right in that they’re not going to be indicted, but they can be found guilty by public inference. Need a good example? Look at O.J. Simpson. He beat the rap, but everybody knows he’s a murderer. Oh, there are a few idiots here and there who claim he was framed, but the overwhelming majority (including blacks) know he did it. The same will hold true for Obama and Biden. They may not take a perp walk, but everyone will know they were involved. Is it as good as hearing a jail door slam behind them? No way, but tarnishing their legacies is probably the best we can get.
Others around them may very well go down, and that’ll be delightful.
Because in our republic, it's of the utmost importance that we establish a precedent that presidents are above, and unaccountable to the law. It's the way our founders wanted it. /s.
We’re being conditioned to no charges against Democrats. Gowdy is doing the same on Fox. This hardcore psywar. So when Durham drops his nothing burger it won’t be a big deal. Most among us will have already accepted it.

As someone posted above: Comey and Brenan walking around free and spewing their pie holes is a travesty of justice. They need the perp walk, just for starters, BIG TIME.
