Buy all the guns and ammo you can if it's not already too late. After the democrats disband the big city police departments, only the strong will survive.

Oh, yeah. And the toilet paper shortage? Without law enforcement, there will be nothing at all on the store shelves. Hell, there won't even be stores. Just burned out shells.

Welcome to Mogadishu, USA.

So, how many pallets of 5.56mm NATO is enough?

My thinking is just take the weapons off the dead bodies, as long as you remain not being one of them. More importantly is having some way of disposing the dead bodies so the smell isn't overwhelming.

Back when Obama was pres. and .22lr got hard to find I started stocking up. I also bought lead, dies, primers, powder, brass, and bullet molds. I can shoot 223 as cheap as .22 lr which I stocked up on. I over reacted years ago I guess. My first thought to your question is no. That’s just me but again no. Stay safe.

It might even be worse than you think.

Everyone should have a .22 rifle and pistol and a lot of ammo which doesn’t take up much space.

After that, a quality pistol in a common caliber, then a shotgun and rifle. Get the best you can afford. Ammo might be hard to find right now. That is why the .22 should be first.

I keep thinking about Henry Kissinger’s statement from 1991:

“ Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government”.

Think gold will be worth a damn if things collapse?

No way.

You know what will be valueable?
The currency of the future...

Perhaps Freerepublic should start a marketplace, so those of us low on ammunition can purchase from those who have plenty?

.22 is about as effective as a slingshot in a battle situation.

Without police, crimes will go unpunished, except by the victim’s family....fathers and their sons will avenge the rapes of their daughters and sisters. Normal road rage incidents could escalate. Even politicians may find themselves or their family members become targets of citizens injured by their policies. The left will quickly decry the day they disbanded police departments.

Precious metals? Lead, brass, copper. You couldn’t find empty brass on my range for years. Reloading shot shells is pretty easy and I can cast #4 and 00 buck too. Country boys can survive.

A city like San Francisco has a only 20 or so major grocery stores. Those get looted and closed.. residents would cheer.

Funny thing is they have one CostCo, which is built like all the others— a near fortress of cinder block without windows. Buy $COST.

No. You’re not exaggerating. Civilization is hanging by a thread. Once the police are driven from the streets, we’re on our own. Worse, if Trump is driven from office, his supporters will be charged as racist enemies of the state, jailed or killed. The left wants to replay the French Revolution.

It’s extremely worrisome that the military is on the brink mutiny. If they won’t defend the constitution, we’re in deep trouble.

ps.

I bought a second AR 15 today before the price sky rockets or they become unavailable. During the pandemic/Antifa Tet offensive, I have bought a freezer, 2500 rounds and the backup AR.
