SEATTLE — The Seattle Police Department has released the bodycam footage of officers responding to a fatal shooting in the so-called CHOP zone early Saturday and being swarmed by what they called “a violent crowd” that prevented police from reaching the scene, particularly since they are prohibited from using less lethal options.
Officers responded around 2:30 a.m. to shots fired in Cal Anderson Park, which lies inside an area of several blocks that demonstrators in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood cordoned off and dubbed the Capitol Hill Organized Protest, or CHOP zone.
The shooting inside the protest zone killed a 19-year-old man and left another male with life-threatening injuries, police said in a post on its blotter Saturday.
Police bodycam footage shows officers arriving and moving through the zone with guns drawn as a group of angry protesters yell profanities and approach the officers.

Trump should accept their secession from the Union, build a wall around it, send the Border Patrol, and set up a port of entry.
Then issue an executive finding that the occupants have lost their U.S. nationality under 8 U.S.C. § 1481(a)(2), (3), and (7), and revoke their passports. If they wish to visit the U.S. after that, they need to apply for a visa because we have no treaty or diplomatic relations with them. Also, if they want to immigrate to the US, issue a second executive finding that the occupants are ineligible for re-naturalization under 8 U.S.C. § 1424(a)(1), (2), (3), (4), (5), and (6).
Also, since CHAZ/CHOP is not a member of the WTO and we don’t have Normal Trade Relations, any goods crossing into the US should be subject to duty at the same non NTR/MFN rate as North Korea and Cuba.
Should be fun.

Yes, it's a very INSENSITIVE approach.. but necessary in order for several factions to learn and "get the message!"
However, a better idea occurred to me. Perhaps the US could cut a deal with the Peoples Republic of China. The US government could grant the territory of the State of Washington north of 47°36′35″N and west of the Cascade Mountains (about 1/5 of the state's area) to the PRC in exchange for cancellation of the national debt owed to China. Seattlists could enjoy the wonders of communism that they yearn for and be truly free of the oppressive racism of the 1619 and all that. The Chinese would get value for their money. And we'd get rid of the most obnoxious part of Washington State. By carefully defining the grant to China, Boeing could be excluded from the transfer. Everybody would come out ahead.
I sure would like to see EXACTLY what you suggested in post #63 brought to fruition.
