All eyes on Roberts ahead of Supreme Court's abortion ruling
The Hill ^ | June 21, 2020 | John Kruzel

Posted on 06/22/2020 4:39:57 AM PDT by kevcol

The court in Hellerstedt ruled 5-3 to strike down a Texas law that required abortion-performing doctors to be authorized to admit patients at a nearby hospital. Roberts dissented on technical grounds from the majority, which said the Texas law was unconstitutional because its burden on a woman’s right to abortion outweighed any medical benefit.

While Roberts’s vote was not decisive in the Texas dispute, he may hold the tie-breaking vote in the Louisiana case. What complicates matters is the fact that the Texas law that the court struck down in Hellerstedt is nearly identical to the Louisiana law now under review.

>>if something goes wrong you call an ambulance and then the patient gets admitted.

Planned Parenthood really doesn’t like to do this as it scares the other girls waiting to kill a baby.

So better to die or be scarred for life because of a botched abortion than not to have the abortion at all?

And little girls can consent to this life threatening procedure without parental approval?!!

Justices like Gorsuch and Roberts were both, at one time, pretty reliable conservatives, unfortunately they were "cowardly conservatives". They were conservative when it was easy, when they were little known judges who's rulings got little attention. Then they moved to DC (which is 90% democrat and 100% liberal).

At first they remain reliable conservatives, but as the years pass, it becomes harder and harder. Their neighbors give them dirty looks, they don't get invited to the big social events, their children get harassed at school and eventually even their spouses start saying, "Honey are those gay folks really that bad, why don't you help them out." or "Trump really isn't a nice guy, why do you always side with them."

Then they side with liberals, maybe just once, and all of a sudden there a glowing reviews in the Washington Post, the neighbors are smiling, the wife and kids are happy, and the phone is ringing off the hook with party invites. So the next time it becomes easier to side with the liberals and more difficult to hold true to their conservative roots. Then at some point they even convince themselves that they have "evolved" and truly believe what they are writing.

Of all the court watchers, I suspect God will be watching this decision closely.

Without admitting privileges, the patient cannot be admitted by the abortionist until there is a life threatening emergency.

I have less faith in Little Johnny Roberts doing the right thing than I do that a Texas rattlesnake won’t bite me when provoked. I am rapidly loosing all faith in government. It has become more oppressive than any slaveholder.

Contrarian here: I predict that Roberts will side with the Right on this one upholding the Louisiana law...

Even though it will be consistent with his previous vote in the Hellerstedt case, it will actually be designed to incite the Left to get out to vote in November...

Remember, he is owned by the DS and they will allow even mandate a correctable hiccup in the abortion roadway in order to get rid of Trump...

Don’t be surprised!

Oh, and Roberts and his buddies sure look ‘pink team’ in that pic!

Can’t do it. As Buzzi showed, these appointments are for life, or, in her case, the afterlife.

I now know that whatever the right thing to do, Roberts will do the opposite.

The decision has been put off till Tuesday. It is clear now that Roberts is no Conservative and will most likely side with the liberals on any close vote.

Well, what if the woman have a medical issue for which a real doctor would send her to the hospital, but which has not yet become critical?

Because the abortionist caused the medical emergency while killing a growing infant. He is and should be accountable and present fo his injured mother after he just delivered her dead child.

Why should emergency room medical people have to see and hopefully fix the woman/girl injured so badly when the majority of them do not find abortion moral or ethical because of the risks -sometimes permanent-she may suffer while the flyover abortionist gets away with at least one murder.

Who will be responsible if the girl/woman dies while being treated at the hospital?

Don’t blame blacks for Planned Barrenhood’s marketing decisions..

They are also located in college towns for sleeping around young women of all races.

If Justice Roberts were an honorable man, he would have stepped down if he has been compromised.
