Multiple Five Guys employees have been fired or suspended from the Daphne, Alabama, location after they refused to serve members of the Daphne Police Department, according to a statement from the company.
Earlier this week, Alabama-based Yellowhammer News reported that three Daphne police officers were refused service when they entered the Five Guys restaurant in Alabama.
The statement read:
Five Guys and the Daphne, AL franchise want to thank the Daphne Police Department for their support in working together toward a resolution. The actions the Daphne, AL franchise have taken include termination and suspension of the employees involved. The store has temporarily closed for further education and customer service training with a representative from the Daphne Police Department and will reopen at 4PM today, July 10th.

That will make it very hard for them to get another job or very easy, depending on where they go.
No sh!t about that! My local 5 Guys fill the little fry container and then dumps an extra scoop of fries into the bag. It’s almost a meal all by itself.
They are a shoo-in for a job at Starbucks.
Once in a while I do eat at a Five Guys BUT, this being Daphne Alabama why are these cops eating at a Five Guys when there are many many great fresh sea food places there??

Agreed, but too often these businesses "make a correction" after something they've done, because they're absolutely pummeled on social media.
Social media is a virus.
They should be charged with a hate crime, if it can be established that the employees discriminated against the police ohfficers because they are police officers.
I remember when 5 Guys Burgers had one location in Alex. Va. The 5 Guys were brothers BTW.
I don’t eat seafood (allergic to most of it... especially shell-fish), I am sure there are a few of them that are the same.

I remember that too. I ate their food only one time.
I thought it was garbage. They even fried the paper sack. Never went back.
Better than having your food spit on and otherwise contaminated with God knows what.

Ditto. I avoid all eateries who cook sea food on same grill even. Fresh water no problem.
Ours are still take out only. Ignorant Dem mayor. Allows riots, no church, no singing, no sit down eating, take out only. Been craving Outback, it’s cold and ruined by the time we get home. Our little berg has only fast food. Have to go to Memphis for sit down eating.

I eat a lot and can’t even dream of finishing their small fries. I wish they offered extra small.
