Scott Adams: Brain-Dead Race Hoaxer Joe Biden Is The Biggest [bleep] In America
Real Clear Politics ^ | Aug 21, 2020

Scott Adams, the creator of 'Dilbert' and a student of persuasion, explains why he thinks that Joe Biden citing the 2017 "fine people" in Charlottesville "race hoax" during his DNC acceptance speech disqualifies him from being the president, on his Friday morning "Coffee With Scott Adams" podcast.

Adams said "the fact that he based his campaign on being the guy of good character and the one who cares, while at the same time and in the same speech perpetuated the most divisive race hoax in American history -- the fine people hoax," is disqualifying for Biden.

"He's basing his campaign on a debunked hoax," he said. "What do people who believe the hoax say? 'Oh, you right-wing crazy people are trying to tell us we didn't hear it with our own ears. I saw it and I heard it and I can prove it. Here's the video of what I saw and what I heard.' And then, they'll show the edited video -- which is the hoax." ...

Adams is a liberal, but he is an intellectually honest liberal and a very smart observer of human nature.

Trump on Aug. 15, said “You had people — and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists — because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists.” He further said: “You had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides.”

Let's do a little role reversal for a moment and instead of Trump lets pretend that a prominent Democrat is talking about Floyd or Black Lives Matter or anti-police protests where riots have happened. Would Democrats condemn a Democrat for saying that during the Seattle, Portland, Minnesota, Chicago, or other riot and looting sprees where police tried to regain control that there were some “.....very fine people, on both sides....”? Nah, didn't think so.

Adams is a great guy to have on our side.

A lot of satirists like Adams are very quiet about their support for Trump, but they lean to the right enough that their support is likely. Front of mind would be Mike Judge.

Scott Adams is not a liberal I’d say—he doesn’t vote, he says. He is a Bay Area conservative, Or more practically speaking: a “crunchy con.”

He lives a few blocks away from my in-laws and thinks like many Bay Area conservatives I know.

He’s also entertaining! He can see everything ridiculous about work (Dilbert) and politics—mostly the Dems because they are more ridiculous.

He’s just saying that because he wants Kamala Harris to be President.

Scott isn’t on your side lol. He’s described himself as further left than any politicians in America. What he is, is an astute observer of human nature and he understands persuasion as well as Cialdini. Anyway, he’s pissed off at Biden because of the fine people hoax, and has stated he will vote this election, something he hasnt done in a very long time. He might vote for Trump if Trump addresses some issues with a Covid strip test.... or he’s going to write Kanye’s name in.

"It’s clear what Trump meant,"

I don't know what "he meant" but I am crystal clear what he said. Not so sure why this is so difficult to repeat and illustrate what he actually said.

From the LA Times

Read the complete transcript of President Trump’s remarks at Trump Tower on Charlottesville

TRUMP: OK. Good. Are we going to take down the statue? Because he was a major slave owner. Now, are we going to take down his statue? So you know what? It’s fine. You’re changing history. You’re changing culture. And you had people, and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.

But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. OK? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly. Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people, but you also had troublemakers and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets and with the baseball bats. You’ve got -- you had a lot of bad -- you had a lot of bad people in the other group…

Scott Adams actually covers that in his videos on the 2 movie hypothesis. He linked at some point to an article that we don’t have to live in reality, only a system of behavior that meets our evolutionary goals.

I’d go one step further and quote Heinlein, such as a mother’s delusions about her child’s intelligence and beauty serve an evolutionary purpose - keeping her from killing the inconvenient creature at birth.

Joe and HO win the White House...

we will never see what goes on again, IN THE PEOPLE HOUSE......Media will cover up, and never report TRUTH...

That is damn scary...and he is brain dead, controlled, and very mentally unbalanced...as is Nancy Pelosi, who is brain fried from years of botox and hard liquor...

wake up voters...get everyone to vote RED...or we will never again recognize our Country and never again will a Republican get elected POTUS...

I never said he was conservative; and who he votes for (or if he votes at all) is irrelevant because he lives in CA.

The reason I say he is on our side is because, for the purposes of this election, he is. Every day, in his social media accounts which reach millions of potential voters, he by-and-large praises Trump and by-and-large denigrates Democrats.

His disenchantment with the left goes back much further than “fine people.” In 2016 the left tried to cancel him after he picked Trump to win.

fair enough...I've read several of his books and followed his blog way
before he latched on to Trump. That actually surprised me a bit when
Adams predicted Trump's victory, but he made a compelling argument and
continues to do so. I've always gotten a Lib vibe from him and his living
in San Fran cemented it in my mind. And you are correct, he is extremely
entertaining.
