Democratic senator asks Amy Coney Barrett if she has ever sexually assaulted someone
Fox News ^

Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, asked a question pertaining to an issue that came up quite a bit during Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing but had yet to come up during Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s hearing: whether the Supreme Court nominee had ever sexually assaulted someone.

Citing a statement from Chief Justice John Roberts in 2017 in which he acknowledged that the judiciary “is not immune” from the problem of sexual misconduct, Hirono said it is her duty “to ensure the fitness of nominees” for positions that have lifetime appointments.

“Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors, or committed any physical or verbal harassment or assault of a sexual nature?” Hirono asked.

“No, Senator Hirono,” Barrett replied.

Sex and abortion, two major talking points for democrats since the 60s. Two election criteria that mean EVERYTHING to the left who honestly believe that these two asinine platforms supposedly drive the engine of America. It always comes up, so it must be so.

Democrats....the party of sex, sexual assault, rape, abortion, birth control, women’s body parts. LGBQT.

I would estimate that over 60% of the questioning yesterday was sex related. These people are crazed.

...have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors, or committed any physical or verbal harassment or assault of a sexual nature?

key word is “favors.” Sexual activity should be a mutual act of parties free to engage in the act. In context, the following meaning is give unfairly preferential treatment to.

Whether or not the offer or acceptance is explicit, a sexual advance should involve an offer and an acceptance.

How about the word “unwanted”? An offer should involve a willingness to go through the deal if accepted. It is improper to make an offer without being willing to follow through if accepted. As to whether not following through on an accepted offer involves a liability, would require further inquiry.

For example, if the other party, left her parents’ home to travel across country following an offer of marriage, then, yes, liability would attach.

For another example, if she teases the man, to induce gifts (”favors”) and then resists, she should return the gifts. In this regard, the rule is “every dog deserves a bite.” That is, liability doesn’t attach to the first time, and stupidity on his part attaches to subsequent times.

With regard to the other party, it cannot be known in advance that the offer will be accepted.

With regard to college students, if she’s drunk, and unable to consent, you, too, should be drunk. Two can play that game.

For Christians, the proper offer should be a lifetime of exclusivity in sexual relations, with attachment of emotional, financial and other commitments.

“Precisely! It’s a set-up question.” And Graham and McConnell are solely to blame. The hearing wasn’t necessary, yet they forward with it.

Of course the dems have something nasty planned. They always do.But Graham and McConnell are still pissed by what happened with Kavanaugh. They will not permit another phony slander circus this time.

I predict Graham will simply call a vote of the committee even amidst democrat howls of rage. It will pass. And then McConnell will schedule a vote in the full senate. She will be confirmed before the election.

That is my prediction.

Why are the democrats so obsessed with sex? Their puerile interest in all things sexual would get old even for a teenage boy with raging hormones.

I lost all respect for that woman during hearings a few years ago. She is an absolute political hack and nothing of importance seems to ever be on her mind, based on the words that flow from it to her tongue.

She is an asian equivalent of Maxine Waters and reflects her constituents. (as do they all).

For years I’ve thought that Nancy Pelosi was probably the dumbest human being on earth (I had to brief her a few times), but Loopy Hoolahoop is giving me reason to reconsider.

I so pray you are right. It’s time the Democrats stopped getting their way with these despicable tactics. And it’s never been more important than now.

Listening to these Democraps on the judicial committees makes me wonder why the presstitudes accuse President Trump of lacking decorum. They should put together a list of democraps including Biden saying this stuff and then put up President Trump saying “Sleepy Joe” and ask the question “Who is the person lacking decorum?”

“That is my prediction.”

Am praying that you’re right. But if Graham and McConnell were pissed ENOUGH — and they should’ve been — they should have gone directly to the vote. They did not.

She had a Senate hearing to gain her current position and that was enough.

Our side is dreadful.

McConnell places great stock in senate tradition. For him the hearings are inevitable but, of course, ultimately worthless. We all know that. Graham has a close election coming up. Expect him to be on his best conservative behavior. He can be tough when he has to be.

They make me sick. WE play by the rules. RATs don’t play by the rules. We’re schmucks, but I guess it’s OK if/when we lose as long as TPDB have been gentlemanly during the process.
