“I don’t know why anyone in the great state of South Carolina would ever vote for Lindsey Graham.” That’s Lou Dobbs going off on Graham — and not for the reason you might think.

He is an effective and mature LEADER.

Those that can, DO .... those that can't, TEACH.

Remember THAT one ?

We've ridiculed Lindsey for years ....(including me) ....

UNTIL

He opened up on Congress and America in defense of Justice Kavenaugh.

Many have speculated that outburst had something to do with the recent passing of John McCain, but I don't know anything about that.

Suffice it to be true that Graham can speak knowledgeably and eloquently and can put in the minds of the hearers, a pretty good synopsis of whatever he is explaining or commenting upon.

I usually agree with Dobbs but this is just stupid, if Graham doesn’t win reelection , say hello to a Democratic run Senate-run by Schumer, even if Trump wins no more judges, if Trump were to lose and we lose the Senate, say hello to a packed court, Puerto Rico, DC , Guam as state
and the USA will move two notches to the left of CA and may never get back

I swore years ago that I would never vote for the guy but a few days ago I voted for him. Why? I’m not a Graham supporter and never will be. I didn’t vote FOR Graham as much as I voted AGAINST Harrison...lesser of two evils. Trump needs to keep the Senate majority to get anything done. Graham needs to be primaried out in SC they always split the vote so that his seat is safe.

I guess one’s options as ‘commander’ are limited if your ‘soldiers’ refuse to go along with you.

So, as the saying goes: “You fight the war with the army you have, not the army you want.”

...although, I guess, some people here prefer surrender if you don’t have the army you want. THANKFULLY most people here aren’t in surrender mode.

“Beating Graham in the primary may not be an option. I think South Carolina has an open primary. There are probably enough Democrats that will crossover and vote for Graham in order to keep him from losing any primary.”

Then you change that law first. There will be 6 years to get that done after this election.

“After the election with his job position secure for another 6 years, Lindsey may fall off totally into the Never-Trump Romney-Bush camp.”

...and his Democrat replacement will be pro-Trump?

“Trump will likely win and carry a majority in the senate.”

If Trump were 10 up, then MAYBE. No one knows jack as to what will happen when they start counting votes, given all the crap going on this year.

This could EASILY be a Harris victory and a 50-50 Senate.

“Trump needs to keep the Senate majority to get anything done.”

Not that everyone here can comprehend the following (because if they could, they wouldn’t be fighting to put a Democrat in Graham’s seat), but I’ll say this anyway:

IF Republicans HOLD THE SENATE, then it is literally IMPOSSIBLE for the Democrats to PACK THE COURTS. The entire issue is DOA. And we very likely have the Supreme Court we’ve always dreamed of for at least the next 5 years, and possibly far, far, longer.

Again, I realize that there are a few people here who simply cannot comprehend the above (or are trolling us).

Absolutely! The primary is the time to take out people like Graham, if you dont like him. ON ELECTION DAY however, vote straight Republican from top to bottom. EVEN Graham, hell, even romney or JEB! is head and shoulders above ANY dim-0.

Graham aligned himself with Juan McLame and was an anti Trump RINO for too long. Then all of the sudden he emerged as someone new. He will get re-elected, not because he is liked, he will get re-elected because it would be bad timing to Vote him out, since the alternative is much worse. NO thanks to the GOP , who aren’t grooming, Conservative candidates!

True, but the alternative is a LIBERAL who has NO MIND OF HIS OWN and is liberal party controlled. Graham is a problem, his opponent is a disaster!

Linda will win. I held my nose and voted for him yesterday. There is no doubt he didn’t deserve my vote, but the guy he is running against is a Pelosi flunky.

Good decision. The primary is where you take out the republican trash, not the general election where you can only do worse.

It is kinda funny what news commentators do when people stop watching them. Lou Dobbs is a non-entity anymore.

You could have said this during SC Republican primary, but the choice now is between him and a Dem, so...

Hold your nose and vote for him anyway!
