Great and Almighty God,
We gather to praise Your name and to invite you to be with us as we pray to You for our broken nation.

We praise You for having given us strong leaders in President Trump and Vice President Pence.
We praise You that in spite of the negative media, the spirit of the People continues to support our President.
We praise You for the many improvements this Administration has been able to make against unprecedented opposition.
We praise You for all the ways critics have said “Trump is finished”, yet Your Hand clears the way for him again and again.
We praise You that our President acknowledges You and prays publicly. Help him to grow in faith and remain steadfast, we ask, dear Lord.

Today we lift up our 116th Congress for Your miraculous intervention, Father God. We place these petitions before You: fund the Wall, end the shutdown, thwart the “Resistance.” Having previously prayed for the Democratic members, we pray today especially for the Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Father, be their guide, their conscience, their inspiration and their wisdom. Give them courage, backbone and discernment to choose Your battles and fight effectively for Your causes. Bring all the supportive resources, staff members and associates alongside them to help the People they represent to reclaim this nation dedicated to You, for the sake of our Bill of Rights, our Constitution, and our American traditions founded in Your Word. We pray for these individuals by name:

Lord, at this time we especially lift up the Republican House Minority. Lord, if it is Your Will, multiply the wisdom and strength that You have poured upon their lives. Fortify them and bless them in this storm. Give them victory in You. We ask for a hedge of protection around them, that they may stand fast with Your servant President Trump. FATHER GOD,

You are LORD of all! Just as it is written: “As surely as I am the Living God, I tell you: ‘Every knee will bow before Me and every tongue will confess the truth and glorify Me!’ ” Romans 14:11

Have Your way in the United States of America! Do what is necessary to bring our wayward nation back to You.

Bless, protect, and strengthen President Trump as You did for Your servant David as he was being hunted down by King Saul. Continue to give our President and his agenda favor with the people as You help him Make America Great Again! Break through every obstacle that keeps our border wall from being built. Surround President Trump with loyal God fearing advisors.

Give unction to Christians to pray for our elected officials so there will be peace in this land. Bless, protect, and strengthen all God fearing legislators who stand unashamedly for TRUTH and LIBERTY.

Open the eyes of Christians who vote for unrighteous legislators. May conviction rise up in them to cause them repent for the evil they have allowed into our nation through the ballot box. May they change their wicked ways.

Our hope and trust are in You, LORD. Pour out Your SPIRIT upon the United States of America! Come, heal our land!Blessed is the nation whose GOD is the LORD!

AMEN! Thank you for your post. The list is indeed a sign of the areas of the country where some of the social issues like abortion are not a concern to constituents. Heavenly Father, we pray in the name of Jesus that you will rise up men and women as well as churches to champion the cause of Christ in these geographic areas. In Jesus Name, Amen

Isaiah 9:6 tells us that, “the government shall be upon his shoulder.” Yet, when rescuing one of His precious lambs, we read of the Lord in Luke 15:5, “And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.” While the government is on His ‘shoulder’, His dear lambs are securely and tenderly held on His ‘shoulders.’ Not only does He hold us on His strong shoulders, He rejoices in our salvation. May the thought of the Lord’s love, power, and care cause us to lift up our voices in praise to our wonderful savior!
