The US president Donald Trump’s upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia will enhance cooperation between the United States and Muslim countries in the fight against extremism, the kingdom’s foreign minister said. Describing the visit as historic, Adel Al Jubeir said Mr Trump’s time in Saudi Arabia would include a bilateral summit, a meeting with Arab Gulf leaders and another with leaders of Arab and Muslim countries. "It’s a clear and powerful message that the US harbours no ill will" toward the Arab and Muslim world, he said. "It also lays to rest the notion that America is anti-Muslim. It’s a very...

"Ahwaz was Arab land since the time of [the kingdom of] Elam, some 4,000 years ago, through the [time of] the Babylonians, the Assyrians, and the Chaldeans, up until the Achaemenids, led by Cyrus the Great, invaded in 539 BC. Persian control [of it] lasted until the Battle of Dhi Qar,[4] when the Arab tribes surrendered to the kingdom of Banu Lakhm,[5] to the Islamic conquest [in the second half of the 7th century CE]. A clothing store in Gaza City named Hitler 2 is displaying mannequins with knives strapped to their hands as an homage to the upsurge in stabbing attacks on Israelis by Palestinians. Hijaz Abu Shanab, a 20-year-old shopper, said: "The name of the shop is 'Hitler' and I like him because he was the the most anti-Jewish person. I like the clothes and the name, it is fantastic."
  • Congressional Monitor

I received an official-looking political survey in the regular mail. Cover letterhead is "Congressional Monitor" with a logo of the Capital. It is addressed personally to me, and "signed" by the Project Director. The signature is a scribble, and not spelled out. The survey asks non-partisonly and without mention to Palestine and arabs questions about preference on Congressional issues, feelings about the administration, national deficit, terrorism, and so on - 7 questions in all. Went to the "Congressional Monitor" wikipedia description, and surprised to find it is Beirut-based and part of the "Institute for Palestine Studies".

San Francisco has taken its defiance of the feds to a new level, ending its cooperation with the FBI in an anti-terror initiative begun after 9/11 - a move crtitics say could get innocent people killed. Critics say the sanctuary city by the bay's latest decision to forego cooperation with Washington, by dropping out of the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force, could put lives at risk. The JTTF has been credited with foiling 93 Islamist terrorist attacks and plots against the U.S. since 2001, including 12 this year, according to the Washington, D.C.-based Heritage Foundation. During all the period that the Zionists had been without benefit of Balfour Declaration or Mandatory 'assistance the attitude of the Arabs toward the Jewish National Movement had been one of almost unanimous approval. In 1906, Farid Kassab, famous Syrian author, had expressed the view uniformly held by Arabs: "The Jews of the Orient are at home. This land is their only fatherland. They don't know any other." 28 A year later Dr. Gaster reported that he had "held conversations with some of the leading sheikhs, and they all expressed themselves as very pleased with the advent of the Jews,...

Claims that Trump administration caved to Arab pressure over the embassy move constitute fake news. By: Lori Lowenthal Marcus Published: January 25th, 2017 Several Israeli-based media outlets are repeating a story from an Arab media outlet that the U.S. Embassy move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem is “off the table” due to Arab pressure. But let’s look at the evidence thus far produced and line it up against reality. The reports claiming the Trump administration has backed down from its stated commitment to move the embassy assert the reason that is happening is because of pressure placed on the new...

A week before President-elect Donald Trump takes the oath of office, the U.S. Transportation Department issued new “guidance” for airline flight crews on how to avoid discriminating against Muslim and Sikh passengers. DOT said it recognizes the very important and difficult job of the airlines to provide a safe and secure travel environment. “At the same time, it is important that this function be carried out in a non-discriminatory manner.” The guidance says airline personnel must not be swayed by a passenger’s appearance alone: “In other words, airline personnel should ask themselves, but for the passenger’s perceived race, color, national...

Despite the substantial documentation assembled by Peters, demonstrating massive Arab immigration into Palestine, anti-Israel propagandists continue to deny it. Based on what we know today, and the simple truths of basic math, the issue has become clear and unambiguous. All historic records indicate that only insignificant number of long-term settled Muslims were present in Palestine before 1882, when the large Jewish immigration began. Muslim Arab numbers increased dramatically as Jewish settlements developed infrastructure and provided work opportunities to Arabs from the neighboring countries. Also worth noting is that the “indigenous” 4.3% comprised many non-Arab nationalities. All of them were swamped...

While many writers in the Saudi and Gulf media reacted to the election of Donald Trump for U.S. president with mixed emotions, expressing hopes for cooperation with him but also concern because of his hostile statements regarding Muslims,[1] Turki Al-Dakhil, the general manager of Al-Arabiya's news channel, took a much less ambivalent position, stressing the possible benefit of Trump's election for Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states. In a November 13, 2016 article titled "On Trump-Phobia," he wrote that Trump's statements against African Americans, Latinos and Muslims had been mere propaganda aimed at achieving electoral gains, and that now that...

As part of the Hebrew University's research on conflicts, they held an academic course focusing on the dialogue between Jews and Arabs in Israel. The course was intended for both Israeli and Arab university students. However, not a single Arab student was interested in the course, and none signed up for it. Last year, the course opened with 22 Israeli students and not a single Arab. Dr. Maya Kahanov was forced to personally search out and invite Arab students, finally ending up with a class total of 22 Israeli students and 11 Arab students. "Once there was a will to...

The Palestinian Authority’s (PA) security forces arrested three Palestinian Arabs from the Gush Etzion area who “dared” to visit the sukkah of Oded Revivi, mayor of the town of Efrat. Channel 2 News reported on Thursday evening that the Arabs who were arrested were questioned over allegations they met with "baby-killers", an apparent reference to General Nitzan Alon, the head of the IDF's Operations Directorate, and the Shai District Police Commander, who were also guests in the same sukkah. Revivi said on Thursday evening, “Yesterday we sat in the sukkah - Jews and Muslims. We ate, drank and talked about...
