A record number of migrants flowed into the Big Apple last week — with city officials logging nearly double the daily average of asylum seekers, new data show. Roughly 3,900 migrants arrived in New York City over the seven-day span ending Sunday, according to City Hall data. That brings the total number of asylum seekers who have made their way to the Big Apple to more than 126,700 since the start of the crisis in spring 2022.

The relentless influx of migrants pouring into the Big Apple has now surged to an average of 600 per day, double what it was a year ago.
