@SebGorka BREAKING After endorsing DeSantis on FOX at the weekend, Jeb Bush emailed POLITICO to “clarify” his praise of Ron. I guess having Low-Energy Jeb give the Bush Dynasty’s stamp of approval didn’t work out as planned ..

The campaign manager for Georgia GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker told campaign staff on Tuesday that the fundraising has surged for the Republican since he denied anonymous allegations about an alleged abortion. Scott Paradise, Walker’s campaign manager, told campaign staff this morning that the Daily Beast story accusing Walker of encouraging a woman — who has remained anonymous — to abort their unborn baby in 2009 is a “setback,” but fundraising has surged since he denied the allegations, according to a Gabby Orr, a CNN reporter.

[Catholic Caucus] Options sought for Mass in LatinCatholic group seeks greater access to traditional worship formsLatin Mass societies are looking at options to bring the “traditional” style back to Blair and surrounding counties after the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown in July limited “old rite” Masses to Sundays. Two meetings will be held in the area this week with a representative of The Society of St. Pius X, also known as SSPX, founded by priests in 1970 after changes to the Mass were made in 1969.The new outcry over the loss of Latin services comes after Bishop Mark L. A Detroit woman said she was temporarily banished from Facebook for “hate speech” after participating in a time-honored tradition: commenting on a meme labeling the opposite sex as “dumb.” “At first I thought it was a joke [and] I’m like yeah right I’m blocked … what?” Candace King told Fox News of her social media timeout, which allegedly occurred after she participated in a thread entitled “why men are so dumb.”

Contrary to what has been said in the pro-government media in Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s three-day official visit to Britain this week has turned out to be counterproductive, London-based journalist Firdevs Robison said on her website. She said that apart from supportive lead articles in the conservative Times and the Daily Telegraph newspapers, British Prime Minister Theresa May and her government were intensely criticised for inviting Erdoğan in the run-up to Turkish presidential and parliamentary on June 24. Human rights and press freedom organisations meanwhile urged May to publicly call for the release of more than 100 journalists jailed in...

John Bailey, the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, is under investigation for allegations of sexual harassment. The Academy received three harassment claims on Wednesday and immediately opened a probe, according to sources familiar with the situation. Bailey was elected president of the institution in August. If he were forced to step down, he would be temporarily replaced by Lois Burwell, a veteran makeup artist who is the Academy’s vice president, until the next election in July. Bailey’s tenure has been marked by a historic shift in the Academy’s approach to misconduct by its members. In...

At least it was cordial. But the 150 or so "movement conservatives" gathered at Paul Pressler's this weekend (1/13-14) were a fractured lot. Maybe 10% were for Perry. Almost all of them were against Romney. Well, sort of. Caveat below. There was an official Romney guy there who explained that "You'll either work with us now or work with us later, but you'll all have to get on Mitt's train, because we have the money and the organization, so there's no stopping us." This did not go over well. It just made everyone more determined than ever to do whatever...

THE WOODLANDS, Texas (AP) -- Republican presidential contender Herman Cain grew agitated with reporters after a debate with Newt Gingrich and is vowing to never answer questions about allegations of sexual harassment a decade ago. Speaking after a one-on-one debate with rival Gingrich on Saturday, Cain cut off reporters who asked about allegations of sexual harassment and suggested journalists who wanted answers were behaving unethically.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, former National Restaurant Association board chairman Joseph Fassler offered a firm defense of GOP presidential front-runner Herman Cain, along with an explanation for how Washington’s best kept secret — the identities of Cain’s sexual-harassment accusers — was also kept from the association’s board. “The accusations? It’s a hatchet job, in my opinion,” Fassler told TheDC from his Phoenix, Ariz. office. “My gut tells me it’s a hatchet job. He gets a lead, he gets some traction, and the next thing you know, here come these allegations. It’s sad.”

Among the things that were brought to light during the recent Presidential campaign was what I would term the "unconscious message" that the Democrats sent to Americans. This unconscious message was a function of, primarily, two things: The impact of standard-bearers — including Michael Moore, Susan Sarandon, and Whoopi Goldberg, among many others — who, because of their high profile, came to represent what the Democrat Party stood for to many Americans; and some of the tactics which the Democrats allowed to be employed in the name of electing their candidate. Indeed, while many high-profile Democratic spokespeople might have gotten...
