  • Brit Hume Discusses Possible Push for Gun Control Legislation…

If Nikolas Cruz had been arrested for his prior criminal behavior he would not have passed a background check for a firearm purchase. The issue was/is not the background check; the issue was/is the lack of a prior arrest. Hence, the Broward County school and law enforcement policy is ultimately what failed. I don’t say this lightly, but the lawyers have the easiest case for ‘wrongful death’ lawsuits in the history of this type of litigation. The county policy constructed by public officials (School Board and Superintendent), and the county law enforcement policy that was specifically and intentionally designed to...

Ledyard police said a 17-year-old high school student has been arrested and charged with threatening and breach of peace. According to a letter from the high school principal, that student made a comment stating “I could buy an AR-15”, the same gun used in the Florida shooting. The principal said the student wasn’t threatening to do harm, but rather was talking about buying guns. The principal said the student does not have access to guns at home.

Just started seeing it today go on full bore. The LACK OF CURIOSITY was there from almost the moment it was discovered that Broward LEOs were called 30+ times to killer Nikolas Cruz's home. The FBI hasn't done much to stop killer Nikolas Cruz either. Now, Broward sheriff Scott Israel, good friend of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has issued a statement saying HE will handle any problem in his department. Local Miami media is apparently satisfied with that. Now, back to attacking the Constitution, the NRA, Rick Scott and Donald Trump.

Emotions and empty platitudes have long been the field on which the anti-Second Amendment gun control crowd plays. And with wicked murders last week at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., emotions are sky high — and that is usually bad for sound policy. The emotions have brought out the predictable platitudes from the left-wing, including the insufferable John Kasich, about “common sense” gun legislation and “time to put aside our differences” and “standing up to the NRA.” Every one of those simply means: Do we what we say. But now, the anti-gun agitators have taken the profound...

I wish that I could tell you that my life in Bangkok is better with very few guns in the city, but now I have to watch out for bombs. I have been living in Bangkok for nearly half a decade now, but I was raised in America, and I too am watching the extensive back and forth between gun rights supporters and those pushing for strict gun control in the wake of the Florida school shooting. In my extensive world travels, I have made a number of observations in countries that have gun control that might add something of...

I know almost nothing of the mental condition of confessed mass murderer Nikolas Cruz, and almost certainly, neither do you. There are few, if any, who can give a reliable opinion of the young man’s psychiatric state as he walked into [a FL h.s.] and killed 17. Nevertheless, after his killing spree... many in the media, along with the public at large, were willing at least to imply, if not directly describe, Mr. Cruz as someone who was “mentally disturbed,” “mentally ill,” “crazy,” a “nut-job,” a “psycho,”... and so on. Those with a wide array of varying political and spiritual...

Being a shooting victim doesn’t make you an expert on ending gun violence. But you wouldn’t know that from watching CNN. It’s been a week since a monster killed 17 people at a Florida high school. The calls for gun control have been reflexive and ambiguous, but the media have found a new mouthpiece — shooting survivors. “Students seize control of gun debate” blared a MSNBC caption. An organization portraying itself as being made up of students announced a March 24 rally in D.C. and other cities called “March For Our Lives.” Some students say they won’t return to class...

Thousands of students across Florida have walked out of their classrooms in protest over gun laws as they showed support for the teen survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High shooting who are rallying in the state's Capitol. Students from across the entire state participated in the mass walk out to honor the 17 people killed in the deadly massacre in Parkland a week ago. The vast majority of teen protesters gathered on Wednesday at the scene of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High wearing the school's colors and brandishing signs. They have vowed to make the tragedy a...

Shortened title. Full title: Parkland High School Teen Activist Says NRA Members Are Child Murderers – And If You Oppose Him You Hate Children Following the recent Parkland shooting, a number of “movements” and activist groups popped up, and the standout similarity across all of them is that they’re fronted by teenagers. ehind the teenagers, working as the string-pullers, are the same people behind the Women’s March. They are vehemently anti-gun, anti-American, and anti-Trump – this is part of their sales pitch. On March 14th, 2018, the largest of these groups, #Enough National School Walkout, is planning a 17-minute walk...

A former friend and classmate of Nikolas Cruz says he would follow her around, abuse his girlfriend and even talk about killing his friends' parents, adding to the shocking claims that have emerged about Cruz in the days since the Florida high school shooting. Ariana Lopez told ABC News on Tuesday she and her friends reported Cruz’s behavior to school officials multiple times between 2016 and 2017. Cruz was eventually expelled from Marjory Douglas Stoneman High School, where he shot and killed 17 last week. “He talked about killing our parents, our friends, boyfriends and girlfriends,” Lopez said. “He would...

Conservatives are demanding that ‘concealed-carry’ language hitch a ride on any bill to strengthen background checks. President Donald Trump’s tentative embrace of a narrow background-checks bill is about to hit a towering hurdle: members of his own party. The White House is signaling support for a bipartisan bill that would enhance reporting of violent criminals to the FBI’s background-check database in order to stop them from buying firearms. Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas) is trying to round up support for it along with the White House — a formidable duo from a party that typically shuns any talk of...

Parkland shooter always in trouble, never expelled. Could school system have done more?By Carol Marbin Miller And Kyra Gurney February 20, 2018 07:59 PM At times, Nikolas Cruz’s behavior could be a school administrator’s nightmare: Teachers and other students said he kicked doors, cursed at teachers, fought with and threatened classmates and brought a backpack with bullets to school. He collected a string of discipline for profanity, disobedience, insubordination, and disruption. In 2014, administrators transferred Cruz to an alternative school for children with emotional and behavioral disabilities — only to change course two years later and return him to a...

On Thursday, 19 March, 2015, a woman with a .44 magnum stopped a polar bear from attacking Jakub Moravec, 37, in the Svalbard archipelago. Polar bear attacks are expected there, and tourists are not allowed unless they carry a high powered firearm. In this case, the rifles were left outside the tents, but inside the protective alarm wire. The armed woman, mother of Zuzanna Hakova, shot the bear three times with the revolver. From telegraph.co.uk: They were lucky to be alive after a polar bear broke into their tent on a remote Norwegian island and tried to maul them....

HLN conservative host S.E. Cupp followed up her masterful takedown of self-righteous journalists who become anti-gun activists, last Thursday, by using the opening monologue of Tuesday’s S.E. Cupp Unfiltered to call out disingenuous gun grabbers for lying about their intentions. “There is nothing more disingenuous than the idea that no one is talking about banning guns,” Cupp declared. Cupp began the show by slamming actress Alyssa Milano for sending out an “inane” tweet spewing hate for the Second Amendment because it was passed during a time when smallpox and dying during childbirth were “popular.” “What Milano tweeted may be inane,...

Oh, well, they wouldn’t be the liberal media without dishing out total trash about gun politics. Take this lie about their favorite punching bag, the National Rifle Association. The lefty outlet Think Progress and others tried to smear the NRA for training Florida shooter Nikolas Cruz: Nikolas Cruz, the 19-year-old who charged with murdering 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High, honed his marksmanship skills in a school program supported by the NRA. Cruz was, according to the Associated Press, a member of the school’s four-person varsity marksmanship team, which received a $10,000 grant from the NRA in 2016. The...

Here we go again with yet another “national conversation” about guns that is neither a conversation nor national. And not productive. Understandably, as with the Newtown, Conn., elementary school massacre in 2012, the agonized outcries and visceral fears after the outrageous Broward high school deaths on Feb. 14 erupt from parents who entrust their most prized treasures to a public school. The betrayal is horrendous. The suffering unimaginable. And we flail around trying to find answers for the unimaginable, the inexplicable, the unacceptable. There must be something we can do to prevent such awful events. There is. We could have....

Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. insinuated Wednesday that student survivors of the Parkland, Fla., school shooting were being manipulated by Democratic billionaire George Soros to organize for gun control. Bump stock prices have spiked following President Trump's directive on Tuesday that the Justice Department draft regulations to ban the devices. Bump stocks can be used to allow semi-automatic guns to fire at speeds similar to automatic guns. After Trump’s proposed ban, bump stock prices quickly rose on the firearms auction website Gun Broker, Bloomberg reported. Some bump stocks were being listed for anywhere from just above retail prices of less than $200 to as much as $1,000 with some listings having a tag that said "Get them while you can," according to Bloomberg. Trump’s decision on bump stocks...

Tucker Carlson debated a New York City councilman and lieutenant governor candidate over the Democrats' proposed new assault weapons ban in the wake of the Florida school shooting. Jumaane Williams, a Democrat who represents Flatbush and Canarsie in Brooklyn, said some 30,000 Americans are killed by guns every year, including suicides. Carlson agreed that gun violence must be curbed, but asked Williams if another iteration of an assault weapons ban is a wise move. He said the Justice Deparment previously ruled that the prior ban "saved no lives." "The real question is, do you believe that we should have unfettered...
