Anti-Trump NBC pundits Seth Meyers and Nicolle Wallace just mockingly asked if during the Coronavirus panic, it was proper for First Lady Melania Trump to give an update on the construction of the White House tennis pavilion. Long-time President Trump despising talk-show host Meyers condescendingly opined to Wallace: âIf people want to play tennis, they should be able to play tennis. I feel very strongly about this. ButâŚour first lady, in the middle of a pandemic, posted a photo about how the tennis pavilion is going. As someone who was in communications, do you think this is a good...

U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin took a shot at Greta Thunberg -- the famed teen climate activist -- on Thursday over her push at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, for companies to immediately cease all investments in fossil fuels. Mnuchin was at a news conference in the Alpine town when he was asked about Thunberg's earlier appeal to abandon older sources of energy, according to Reuters. "Is she the chief economist? ... After she goes to college and studies economics in college, she can come back and explain that to us," he was quoted saying.

Yesterday, Karen wrote about the contrast between the statements made by President Trump and Greta Thunberg at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The NY Times has published Thunbergâs full remarks at the forum and they are pretty striking. In addition to her usual tone of condescension toward world leaders, Thunberg explained that the only solution was to completely abandon fossil fuels immediately. She doesnât want to talk about ânet zeroâ emissions she wants to see âreal zeroâ right now. One year ago I came to Davos and told you that our house is on fire. I said I...

... The truth, as one anonymous blogger aptly put it, is that your generation is unable to work up to forty hours per week without being chronically depressed and anxious. Its members cannot even decide if they want to be a boy or a girl, or both, or neither, or a âthey.â They cannot eat meat without crying. I might add that your generation needs âtrigger warningsâ and âsafe spacesâ as pre-conditions for learning in school. Its members have a pathological need to be coddled and protected from the challenging realities of life. Your generation is the biggest demander and...

Climate change activist Greta Thunberg issued a response to singer Meat Loaf after the Dallas rocker called her "brainwashed" in an interview this weekend. "Itâs not about Meatloaf," tweeted the Swedish teenager. "Itâs not about me. Itâs not about what some people call me. Itâs not about left or right." Meat Leaf, 72, claimed Thunberg, 17, had been "brainwashed into thinking that there is climate change, and there isnât.â She has traveled the planet over the past year to promote her beliefs and came in second place for 2019's Nobel Peace Prize awards, losing to Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed....

âIâm not the kind of person who celebrates birthdays,â Greta Thunberg said as she turned 17 on Friday, marking the occasion in inimitable style - with a seven-hour hour protest outside the Swedish parliament. The climate activist braved winter conditions in her native Stockholm to continue the weekly Friday School Strike for the Climate campaign that helped catapult her to international fame. âI stand here striking from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. as usual ... then Iâll go home,â Thunberg, Time magazineâs Person of the Year for 2019, told Reuters. I finally found something to show FREEPERS what I mean. See if the first 10 seconds of this Killjoys clip of the arch-villain "The Lady" doesn't remind you of this little snot Greta: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zO2aVaqI2Jg

Greta Thunbergâs father said in a new interview that the 16-year-old climate activist from Sweden has become much happier after taking up the environmental cause â but that he worries about all the âhateâ she faces. Actor-turned-producer Svante Thunberg, 50, told the BBC that he and Gretaâs mom, opera singer Malena Ernman, at first objected to their shy daughter becoming an eco-warrior. âObviously, we thought it was a bad idea, putting herself out there with all the hate on social media,â he said about Greta, who was diagnosed with Aspergerâs syndrome â a form of autism â at age 12.

Environmental teenage activist Greta Thunberg not only dispensed unsolicited policy advice to governments around the world in 2019 â she was a deciding factor in online dating. Dating app OkCupid noted an 800% increase in people referencing Thunberg in their profile descriptions and liking her, and apparently the environmental activism that she stands for is a major asset when looking for an online relationship, The Hill reported Monday.

An original documentary about 16-year-old climate change activist Greta Thunberg will be released on Hulu in 2020. The documentary with the working title "Greta" will be directed by Nathan Grosman and produced by Cecilia Nessen and Frederik Heinig of B-Reel Films, Deadline reported on Dec. 16. "In August 2018, Thunberg, a 15-year-old student in Sweden, starts a school strike for the climate," the logline reads. "Her question for adults: if you donât care about my future on earth, why should I care about my future in school?

The news is good from the Swedish "genius" who claims to know how to save the world. She has gone home and plans to take some time off from her self-imposed world tours and speeches in her role as our savior. I don't know about you, but I am sick to death of Greta Thunberg. If I ever hear or see her again, it will be too soon. This young girl has gotten all too much publicity, all too much adulation and all too much support for her "beliefs" about climate change â if, indeed, they really are her beliefs.

Time magazine's Person of the Year is starting to sound a little bloodthirsty: Greta Thunberg told cheering protesters today 'we will make sure we put world leaders against the wall' if they fail to take urgent action on climate change. *snip* Against the wall? It's kind of in line with Bernie Sanders's vow to put bankers in jail, except that it sounds more like something a totalitarian fanatic like Hitler or Lenin or Castro would say. Line 'em up and shoot 'em if they don't do what young Greta says? No disagreement, no civil discourse, no talking things out, no...

Thunberg traveled to Turin in an electric car after attending the COP25 climate conference in Madrid, where she had given a speech accusing world governments of "creative PR" over their climate change stances. There she told reporters that she would be taking a break over after the holidays following months of global climate activism in the United States and Europe. âI will be home for Christmas and then I will take a holiday break because you need to take a rest,â she said, according to Reuters. âOtherwise you cannot do this all the time.â

Earlier this week, 16-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg was named Time's Person of the Year, defeating four other finalists, including US President Donald Trump, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, the Hong Kong protesters, and the whistleblower in the Trump-Ukraine scandal. A group of Trump supporters has edited the TIME magazine's 'Person of the Year' cover by replacing the head of climate activist Greta Thunberg with that of the US president. The altered picture was accompanied by a list of things the group claims Trump has accomplished since taking office three years ago.

Greta Thunberg told cheering protesters today 'we will make sure we put world leaders against the wall' if they fail to take urgent action on climate change. The Swedish teen activist was addressing the crowd at a Fridays for Future protest in Turin, Italy. She arrived there from Madrid where she had been attending the UN climate summit but said she feared the event would not lead to change. She said: 'Unfortunately, we probably already know the outcome. World leaders are still trying to run away from their responsibilities but we have to make sure they cannot do that. 'We...

On Thursday morning, the President of the United States sent a tweet to his 60+ million followers blasting a 16-year-old girl with Asperger's syndrome who has rallied efforts at fighting climate change around the globe. "Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend!" Trump wrote of teenage climate crisis activist Greta Thunberg. "Chill Greta, Chill!" This isn't the first time Trump has gone after Thunberg. "She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future," Trump sarcastically tweeted following Thunberg's speech in front...

After seeing the cover for Time magazineâs âPerson of the Yearâ award, who can still pretend the Left is irreligious? It is clear Time has officially sainted Thunberg. After all, the magazine proclaims, âBy clarifying an abstract danger with piercing outrage, Thunberg became the most compelling voice on the most important issue facing the planet.â Thunberg -- for now at least -- has become the secular equivalent of Joan of Arc, whose portraits and statues are depicted with a similar expression denoting transcendent holiness. One suspects that in a very short time, St. Greta will invite St. Joan's fate. No,...

Michelle Obama knows how to #BeBest. The former first lady came to the defense of climate activist Greta Thunbergâs on Twitter TWTR, +0.66% Thursday, after President Trump mocked the 16-year-old for being named Timeâs Person of the Year. Trump had tweeted, âSo ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!â (snip) So former first lady Obama tweeted a message of support to Thunberg on Thursday night, writing: âDonât let anyone dim your light. Like the girls Iâve met in Vietnam and all over the world,...

Who better than a finger-wagging teen bereft of accomplishment, or any comprehension of basic economics or history, to be Time magazine's Person of the Year in 2019? Greta Thunberg's canonization is a perfect expression of media activism in a deeply unserious time. Has there ever been a less consequential person picked to be Person of the Year? I doubt it. I mean, Wallis Simpson, 1936's Person of the Year, got King Edward VIII to abdicate the throne. Thunberg can't even get you to abdicate your air-conditioning. These days we celebrate vacuous fire and brimstone. "Greta Thunberg" -- the idea, not...
