(FOX 2) - A man was charged with making antisemitic and racist threats to parents, young children and security at Temple Beth El; a preschool and synagogue in Bloomfield Hills. 35-year-old Hassan Yehia Chokr from Dearborn is charged with two counts of ethnic intimidation in connection to the threats made at Temple Beth El on Friday, Dec. 2. Self-help author Marianne Williamson was the most searched Democrat candidate during the second Democrat debate on Tuesday, according to Google Trends. Williamson beat out top candidates Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Mayor Pete Buttigieg. Williamson was also the top-searched candidate in 49 of 50 states, excluding Montana, where its governor, Steve Bullock, ranked higher. Michigan Republican Senate candidate Sandy Pensler trashed President Donald Trump at a meet and greet with Republican Party activists in early 2018, as seen in a video obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller News Foundation. In the video Pensler is seen describing a business deal with Trump that went bad, at Roadside B&G restaurant in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. The GOP candidate questioned Trump’s wealth and claimed Trump tried to buy the Mets baseball team from him, but did not have the money. Pensler also criticized the way Trump speaks, saying he spoke at a “fourth grade level.”

Parents, pastors, politicians and educators will join a Muslim imam at a mosque Friday in Oakland County, Michigan, to pray and discuss how to make their schools and community safer in an era of mass school shootings. The Muslim Unity Center, a mosque in the wealthy Detroit suburb of Bloomfield Hills, is hosting an "Interfaith Prayers and Symbolic Walkout Vigil" April 20 that feeds off of the anti-gun fervor created in the wake of the Parkland High School mass shooting that killed 17 students in February.
