Put aside whatever suspicions you may have about whether Donald Trump will be directly implicated in the Russia investigation. Trump is right now, before our eyes and those of the world, committing an unbelievable and unforgivable crime against this country. It is his failure to defend. The intelligence community long ago concluded that Russia attacked our election in 2016 with the express intention of damaging Hillary Clinton and assisting Trump. And it was not only the spreading of inflammatory fake news over social media. As a May report from the Republican-run Senate Intelligence Committee pointed out: “In 2016, cyber actors...

Rep. Patrick Kennedy (news, bio, voting record) crashed his car near the Capitol early Thursday, and a police official said he appeared intoxicated. Kennedy said he had taken sleep medication and a prescription anti-nausea drug that can cause drowsiness. Kennedy, D-R.I., addressed the issue after a spate of news reports. His initial statement said: "I consumed no alcohol prior to the incident."'Later, however, he issued a longer statement saying the attending physician for Congress had prescribed Phenergan on Tuesday to treat Kennedy's gastroenteritis.Kennedy said he returned to his Capitol Hill home on Wednesday evening after a final series of votes...

Amnesty International investigates, documents and takes action on human rights violations around the globe using one standard – that of international human rights and humanitarian law – and strives to do so in an impartial way. Nevertheless, the annual Amnesty International Report 2005 covering human rights violations around the globe in 2004 generated criticism in this newspaper from David Forman ("We are not paranoid," May 30) and Michael Ehrlich ("Amnesty International – do your homework," June 2). Forman accuses Amnesty International (AI) of being "out to get" Israel while ignoring serious human rights violations elsewhere in the world. Most of...
  • Do we really need 'vomit alerts'?

Question - Do we really need to post articles with added extra non-news comments such as 'vomit alert'; 'puke alert'; 'hold muh beer alert'? Can people really take people seriously who post such drivel? What is the purpose? Are we becoming so used to seeing the word 'vomit' splashed across the latest posts that it doesn't affect us anymore? Also, aren't we conservatives suppossed to have some dignity, grace and a clear non-combative way of communicating with each other? Please post here on the FR as you would speak to your co-workers, friends and family....it would be nice.Thanks.

Under the heavily ironic heading "Behind Every Choice is a Story," Planned Parenthood is advertising an artwork and poster contest "celebrating 30 years of choice." Serrin Foster, with Feminists for Life, is concerned about the images in the minds of women who have suffered through an abortion. "And I think what they're going to miss are the untold stories of women who've had abortions and all the millions of young men and young women who aren't with us this year," Foster said. "The thoughts that they're going to have on the 30th anniversary of Roe v. Wade imagining the children...

Kid's Play: NARAL's Incredible Spin By Amy Drake [Pro-Life Infonet Note: Amy Drake is a freelance writer and mother in Washington, D.C.] I guess nothing is beneath the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League. Not even using baby faces to sell abortion. One of their latest TV ads -- part of their "Choice for America" campaign -- features several little kids playing Red Rover. While we watch these happy little children running around, a voice-over asks us to consider their future -- a future that might not include abortion. "And what will we tell them, the children in front...
