Very interesting. Thank you Maurice. I might have gone off the deep end a bit in my post. I can’t apologize though as it seems I am surrounded by folks who have never read/watched/studied “A Tale of Two Cities” or any other history of the world for the last 10,000 years. It is Never pleasant, orderly or bloodless.

I will wait for my Gab.ai invite to come through.

    Short synopsis please.
    What is GAB.AI?

I went there and am on a waiting list to get in.

An alternative to what? twitter? FR?

As it is on the internet it is no alternative to SW radio.
The Soviet Union fell because of old 300 baud FAX machines. Anything “online” is a goner. Local radio nets are the only thing I can think of that use similar tech but with a sustainable backbone. If they keep the electricity grid turned on. You’ll need power, batterries and solar, etc. Venezuela doesn’t have any toilet paper to wipe your A**, and you think you’ll be able to get to gab.ai?

Study the resistance fighters of Norway, France(yes, they were very courageous) and Poland. If the PTB want to round you up, you have a 3% chance of slipping through.

I hate these really dumb and uninformed posts.

WOW. I didn’t know that. From where did you learn such an arcane fact. I believe you. I am not going to delete it from my copy, but will remember your helpful info.

I agree. It is “The Rule of Law” administered equally to all of us, that makes a “Republic” that Ben Franklin hoped we could keep.

    Generally yes.
Executive Orders give the President the ability to set Administrative Rules for the Executive Department. Simply “all employees come in a 9AM and leave at 5PM”. They are used to give the President Executive power over his workers. They are used for much more complicated issues as well. They are not “Law” and can be changed at any time by any President.

Treaties (approved by the Senate) and Law, created and approved by both houses of congress are more durable. Across administrations and cannot be easily changed except by Congressional Amendments to the laws and re-signature by the Executive.

In this pretty clear field we throw the little “grenade”.

There is a tradition thought history of something called the “De Facto Officer Doctrine”. Generally upheld for centuries.
    From the Web:
De Facto Officer refers to an officer holding a colorable right or title to the office accompanied by possession. The lawful acts of an officer de facto, so far as the rights of third persons are concerned, when done within the scope and by the apparent authority of office, are valid and binding.

The de facto officer doctrine confers validity upon acts performed by a person acting under the color of official title even though it is later discovered that the legality of that person’s appointment or election to office is deficient.

So, it is not possible to “Throw Out” anything an Officer of a nation has done, If he was honestly working for the good of his office.

I understand what you are saying, but.
If you want to be famous who’s that that blew up JFK and the girls in the WH pool. I think, depending on the times, there are many trusted biographers. Off topic, It is very hard to be an historian. There is not much but the written record of history to go on. If you asked an Egyptian in 100 bc “What are you?” he would say I am a Roman. Someone with integrity will record the truth. We will all be memories of our families.

Of course with 5 weeks to go we have more pregnant issues. But for a large number of us here and around the web who were alerted to this and other weaknesses in 2006 certainly in early 2007, we have spent 10 years of our lives fighting this terrible hoax and coup of our country. My actuarial age says I will pass in 14 years. I can not hang around for 100 years for historians to open the archives and report that we in fact suffered a coup by a communist usurper. All historians will have already been shot at the wall.

Bustelo is outstanding and readily available.
For K cups, use one of the fill it yourself reusable cups. About 4-5 oz water. Works great most of the time but the grounds are so small it can clog the machine. Rarely. Buy a can and save Mucho.
Some Cuban coffee lovers prefer Cafe Pilon. Also top shelf.

Making espresso in a K machine will never be as strong as a $3 stove top pot. The water isn’t hot enough (192) and it presses too quickly. But I love it as my regular morning wakeup. With sugar.

I beg to differ. The U.S. Department of Agriculture brought in a variety of Lives Stock Guard Dogs for testing in the north west for wolves. The Pyrenees, Akbash, Kuvas and others. The Turkish Akbash dog was by far the most effective. Yes, includng bears. I owned an Akbash, “Jack”, as a pet. I also have a good Border Collie for her chores. The Akbash, about 100 pounds, sheds like crazy. White fur balls everywhere. They are great with kids, like Boxers. They are very protective as you are their herd. Never had a problem. But their courage is is unmatched. Never get between them and a bad guy. They are easily socialized whether it be just people or goats, chickens, cattle. They are the most stoic animal I know. If you want them to stay with the herd they will ignore weather, rain, snow, minus 10 degrees. They Stand Guard, all night.

There are many links on the web for this dog. You have to know how to handle large dogs, have some space, and let them do their perimeter guarding thing that is totally genetic. No training necessary, the same as Borer Collies and herding instinct. The Akbash has a dog IQ of about 77 as opposed to a Border Collie of 180+. The Akbash is not an obedience champion. Come, Sit, Stay are it. Maybe.

BTW, in some photos of the Akbash you will see them wearing a nasty spiked collar. This has the purpose of protecting them when wolves or other predators go for the throat. It is a real good thing, not cruel to them.

I loved that dog Jack. As with all good dogs they show you unconditional love.

There are at least 5 breeds of “Great White Dogs” I like the Turkish Abash, the Italian Maremma/Abruzzi or for a smaller one the Polish Tatra. Skip the Hungarian Kuvas, AKC approved, local breeder are too inbred.

I think I need to convince my wife we need a third dog to guard the chickens.. What a pal.

Well, For example. The 44 Mag only holds 6 rounds. The 45-70 lever might hold 4 or 5. Even the renowned Rem 700 308 deer gun. I have 6 or 8 deer in my yard much of the time.

I would say that if as in the old days with Buffalo Bill he was riding on a train and wanted to kill about 100 Buffalo he would use a “modern sporting rifle” aka 5.56 and have about 10-12 magazines full of M-855 green tip.

Every weapon has its purpose. Like the 45-70 lever gun the 44 mag Super Blackhawk 5.5” is a “save your life” dangerous game weapon. Yes, you can hunt with it. Where I am it is warming up and the bears are waking up, will be everywhere and are hungry. I never go into the woods in my truck or on foot without one of them. Yes, good bear spray is with me as well. For target practice you can use lower power “Cowboy” loads. Normally always loaded with HSM “Bear Loads”, 305gr for the 44 or 430gr for the 45-70. Hard cast flat nose bullets. The idea is penetration. These rounds are not designed for home protection. They will go through all the drywall, siding, several pine trees and land a half mile down the road. For bear, moose or cape buffalo they will shatter every bone in its body and drop it.

Practice with these weapons and loads can be painful. You will get tennis elbow for a month, if you can hold on and still aim a good sight picture.

I prefer the Blackhawk single action as it allows me an added safety. I can always lower the hammer if I decide not to shoot. The extra time is not there with practice.

If you choose the 44 mag, get the Triple K holster and belt. Outstanding after you learn how to break in the leather.

Do it if you have that purpose.

I see this as an interesting product. Their need to market to schools might be questioned. I agree that an armed society is a polite society.

My interest is that if these had a silver Mylar backing they would be Very useful in the field. To provide some protection from night vision optics as well as obviate the need for foxholes against small arms would really peak my interest. If the price was less than $200, I’d buy a stack of them.
