Rahm “the ballerina” Emanuel is afraid of gangs -- can’t prosecute the minorities which make up the democrat base ... Dancing aroung the issue of gangs. A 15-year-old girl who performed at the president's inauguration is gunned down by gangs less than a mile from Barack Obama's home. What does Chicago's mayor do? He blames banks who lend gun makers money. Hadiya Pendleton, who just days before had performed with her high school band at President Obama's inauguration, was gunned down Tuesday afternoon in Chicago's Kenwood neighborhood, just blocks from the high school she attended. The park where she was...

My friends, I will be the next mayor of Chicago. And this I vow: As mayor, I'll never lie to you and I'll rule by respecting Chicago’s most ancient traditions, meaning my family and friends will get rich, and the people of Chicago will pay for it. Or else. Everyone will be happy and content, or else. For I am a river to my people. Future historians may notice that my first successful campaign began with a tweet. It was from Tom Bevan, publisher of RealClearPolitics and host of the “Tom Bevan Show” on WLS-AM radio. “At this point, just...

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced Tuesday morning he's not running for reelection. Emanuel made the announcement at a City Hall press conference that he will not seek reelection at the end of his term. The mayoral election will take place on Feb. 26, 2019. "Today, the time has come to make another tough choice. As much as I love this job, and will always love this city and its residents, I've decided not to seek reelection," he said.
  • Al Sharpton says Rahm Emanuel must go as mayor of Chicago

The Reverend Al Sharpton called for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel to step down because of his poor management of race and policing in his city since the release last month of a video showing a white Chicago police officer firing 16 shots into a black teenager and subsequent officer violence. Mr. Emanuel is vacationing in Cuba, while demonstrators are circulating petitions for his resignation, and protesters blocked traffic on the city’s famed shopping district on Michigan Avenue on Christmas Eve chanting “Rahms got to go in 2016!” “You talk about a crisis on steroids,” Mr. Sharpton said Monday on MSNBC’s...

The Illinois Supreme Court has granted Rahm Emanuel's stay. Which means he's back on the ballot. Earlier today Emanuel's spokesman Ben Labolt said he had plans to turn to the U.S. Supreme Court if Emanuel doesn't receive a favorable ruling from the state. Emanuel's lawyers filed an emergency appeal with the Illinois Supreme Court, asking to have him re-added to ballots. Today, ballots are being printed without Emanuel's name after an Illinois Appellate Court residency decision on Monday booted him. Some believe Emanuel will look at a First Amendment question for the U.S. court to weigh in if a state...
  • Can't We Just Let the People Decide on Rahm Emanuel?

As soon as Mayor Richard M. Daley announced his retirement, Washington D.C. resident Rahm Emanuel handed a resignation letter to his boss, packed his bags, and headed back to Chicago. Throughout the ensuing battle to enforce the Illinois election code, the Rahm Emanuel for Mayor campaign has been chanting the slogan “Let the People Decide!” They collected enough signatures; surely that should be enough. A pesky little thing like not being a Chicago resident for half of the statutory requirement of one year shouldn’t be a roadblock if a majority of the people of Chicago – living, dead, and fictional...
