A group of Clemson University students protested the removal of tampon dispensers from the men’s library bathrooms in response to a conservative student group’s complaints. Holding brightly colored signs reading “Destigmatize menstruation” and “Hello, it’s the 21st century,” around 50 students demonstrated on campus Wednesday to demand school administrators reinstall the feminine hygiene dispensers. Nikki Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, has been named to Clemson University Board of Trustees. Haley, who served as South Carolina governor before becoming former President Trump’s envoy to the U.N., will replace retiring member David Wilkins. CLEMSON, SC (WSPA) – Clemson University said they are instituting a furlough program for more than half of their employees due to financial impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. Clemson employees must take furlough days between September 1 and December 31, the university said. Employees making under $50,000 will not be furloughed, according to the university. In addition, the university said that President James Clements and all athletics employees making more than $400,000 have voluntarily taken at least a 10 percent pay cut. CLEMSON, S.C. — The locations of more than 200 possible unmarked graves have been found in Woodland Cemetery next to Memorial Stadium on the Clemson University campus. The graves were found by ground-penetrating radar and are believed to date back more than a century, according to a release from the university. "The graves are thought to be those of enslaved people who worked from about 1830 to 1865 on John C. An ESPN host suggested Wednesday it was racist for President Donald Trump to serve fast food to the Clemson football team at the White House, saying such food being given to players of a "predominately black sport" gave her pause. Paid for by Trump, the White House offered a spread of Wendy's, McDonald's, Burger King and Domino's pizza to the Clemson players on Monday when they visited to celebrate their national championship win. While the players appeared to enjoy the food, some political and sports observers took Trump to task for what they considered a low-class gesture.

Amidst all the mockery over President Donald Trump serving fast food to the Clemson Tigers football team in the White House, there was one surprising contrary note.
