When President Trump suggested at Thursday's presidential debate that the more than 500 migrant children unable to be reunited with their parents were brought to the border by "coyotes," many on social media were left confused. Trump supporters pounced on the mistake, mocking liberals who weren't up-to-date on border-area lingo. Many thought the president was talking about actual animals bringing children across the border -- rather than human smugglers, for whom "coyotes" is a slang term. (cut) Georgia state Rep. Dar'shun Kendrick, a Democrat, was among those who seemed to have been puzzled by the remark.

College educated white women favor Democrats by nearly 27 points in 69 midterm battleground House races, while white women without a college degree favor Republicans by 4 points in those races, according to a poll released Monday. According to the Washington Post/Schar poll of the battleground districts, college-educated white women prefer the Democratic candidate in their districts by an overwhelming 62 to 35 percent. A segment on voter demographics on today’s Morning Joe focused on the phenomenon of Trump doing less well among college-educated white voters than past Republican presidential candidates. So it was amusing to note that the MSNBC screen graphic read [emphasis added] “Why Trump is Losing Colleg–Educated White Voters.”
