In a string of disturbing tweets Thursday afternoon, Vox Senior Correspondent and co-founder Matthew Yglesias actually justified a mob of left-wing Antifa activists surrounding the home of Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson and terrorizing his family. Even as other journalists and pundits across the political spectrum condemned the incident, Yglesisas insisted that he “cannot empathize” with Carlson or his family. In response to liberal Washington Post columnist Karen Tumulty denouncing the actions of the Antifa thugs via Twitter, Yglesias launched his offensive tweetstorm by proclaiming: “I think the idea behind terrorizing his family, like it or not as a strategy,...

When Apple introduced the new iPad Pro, the company boasted that its slim slate is more powerful than 92 percent of PCs out there. Now that we've benchmarked the 12.9-inch iPad Pro for our review over at Laptop Mag, it looks like that claim could very well be legit. Credit: Tom's Guide The 7-nanometer A12X Bionic chip processor inside the iPad Pro packs four performance cores and four high-efficiency cores, and there's a new GPU that promises twice the graphics performance as the A10X processor inside the last iPad Pro. Wide-ranging Chinese state rules on what video games can depict are believed to be behind the need to modify Rainbow Six. The revamp would mean Rainbow Six had a "single, global version" so it would be easier to maintain and introduce new features, said Ubisoft. It illustrated its blogpost with images showing what some scenes and icons would look like in the new version. The illustrations depict skulls and knives being swapped for more anodyne images and some elements, such as slot machines, being removed entirely. The modified images and maps will be introduced with the Year 3, Season 4...

TAIPEI -- Apple has signaled disappointing demand for the new iPhone XR, telling its top smartphone assemblers Foxconn and Pegatron to halt plans for additional production lines dedicated to the relatively cost-effective model that hit shelves in late October, sources say. That means Foxconn, the Taiwanese company traded as Hon Hai Precision Industry, would produce...

The domain Gab.com has landed at Epik. This post will summarize why Epik welcomed Gab.com. It will also address why I believe the operators of the site have the right to be online. De-Platforming is Digital Censorship. Blacklisting is Digital Shunning. For those not familiar with the case, Gab.com’s ability to operate was abruptly terminated by Godaddy, among other vendors, who deemed Gab to have violated their terms of service. This de-platforming of Gab generated much discussion in the mainstream technology press. It also prompted a lively discussion in the professional domain name community, including at the popular discussion board...

Just about a half-hour ago when I clicked on my shortcut to go to FreeRepublic.com, a page popped up indicating something along the lines that "QANON.com" was phishing for information on FreeRepublic, and, when I continued, the address at the top now indicates that it's "dangerous" and it has lined through the "https" part of the indentification. Is something actually going on or is this something that Google is just doing to show its displeasure with a conservative website? It's not the shortcut, because I tried coming in directly from the search engine, along with typing in "https://www.freerepublic.com" specifically. Any...
