A special grand jury recommended last year that Atlanta’s district attorney charge three current and former US senators for allegedly aiding former President Donald Trump’s attempts to reverse his 2020 election loss. The panel urged Fulton County DA Fani Willis to indict Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and former Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) and David Perdue R-Ga.), according to its 28-page report, released Friday. Willis, an elected Democrat, did not immediately comment on her decision not to charge the trio when she indicted Trump and 18 alleged co-conspirators on Aug. 14 on charges including racketeering, historically used against organized crime.

A scandal is brewing in Georgia's Republican gubernatorial primary, with candidate and former Sen. David Perdue accusing incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp of engaging in shady backroom deals and lining the pockets of liberal megadonor George Soros as part of a massive new economic development project in the Peach State.

An overwhelming majority of respondents in a new poll — close to 60 percent — say they would back Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) should the Republican primary be held today. Polling released by boutique consulting firm ARW Strategies showed that Kemp received 59.4 percent of support among respondents in comparison to Republican gubernatorial challenger, former Sen. Gov. Brian Kemp has a 38-point lead over former Sen. David Perdue in the Republican primary race for governor in Georgia, according to a new poll. The poll, conducted by ARW Strategies from April 30 to May 1, found Kemp with 59.4 percent support compared to Perdue’s 21.5 percent support with about three weeks to go until the May 24 primary. Eleven percent of respondents said they were undecided on the race, and three other candidates received single-digit support.

A new InsiderAdvantage/FOX 5 Atlanta poll shows incumbent Brian Kemp with a comfortable lead over former U.S. Sen. David Perdue and avoiding a runoff for the Republican nomination for governor. The poll puts Kemp at 54% and Perdue at 38%. Trailing the two front-runners are Dr. Kandiss Taylor at 4%, and both Catherine Davis and Tom Williams at 1%.
