About 6,000 delegates and alternates are coming to Philadelphia for the 2016 Democratic National Convention from July 25 to 28, 2016. Fifty-seven state delegations were assigned to 26 hotels in Philadelphia and Valley Forge. State delegations use their hotels as a base of operations during the convention week. Each delegation begins its day by hosting breakfast at their respective hotels to preview the day’s convention activities. In addition, delegates use their hotels to host receptions and conduct official business, including meetings and press conferences. The delegations will be bused to the Wells Fargo Center during the convention hours. After a...

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will be on a trade-focused charm offensive when he touches down in New Delhi Wednesday for a two-day visit. The past year has seen a worsening in relations, with clashes over shared Himalayan borders and China’s close relationship with Pakistan. Defense ties were suspended this summer after China refused a visa to a top Indian general. Beijing is seeking instead to turn the spotlight during Mr. Wen’s trip, his first here in five years, on the burgeoning trade relationship between India and China. Some 400 business leaders will accompany the premier, twice the initial expected number,...

Protesters harassed two state delegations in St. Paul to attend the Republican National Convention Monday. Someone threw a rock through the window as delegates from Alabama rode their bus to the Xcel Energy Center, where RNC events took place. And masked protesters confronted and harassed the Connecticut delegation — several of them were spat upon, roughed up and doused with a mixture of water and bleach.

John Kerry and the VVAW: Hanoi's American Puppets? Newly discovered documents link Vietnam Veterans Against the War to Vietnamese communists Two recently discovered documents captured from the Vietnamese communists during the Vietnam War strongly support the contention that a close link existed between the Hanoi regime and the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) while John Kerry served as the group's leading national spokesman. The Circular: International Coordination of Antiwar Propaganda The first document is a 1971 "Circular" distributed by the Vietnamese communists within Vietnam. It discusses strategies to coordinate their national propaganda effort with their orchestration of the activities...

The first documentary evidence that Vietnamese communists were directly steering John Kerry's antiwar group Vietnam Veterans Against the War has been discovered in a U.S. archive, according to a researcher who spoke with WorldNetDaily. One freshly unearthed document, captured by the U.S. from Vietnamese communists in 1971, indicates the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese delegations to the Paris peace talks that year were used as the communications link to direct the activities of Kerry and other antiwar activists who attended. Kerry insists he attended the talks only because he happened to be in France on his honeymoon and maintains he...

Former Senator Carol Moseley Braun is expected today to announce that she will be running for her old seat on Capitol Hill.Moseley Braun lost it six years ago to Republican Peter Fitzgerald.According to a Chicago Democratic operative, Moseley Braun elicted laughter from several party officials weeks ago when she told them she was mulling a run for the Presdiency of the United States.'They couldn't help themselves, said one operative..'It just came out of left field.'Actually, it's not suprising that the former Senator, who once famously told staffers that she deserved to be treated like a princess, has an inflated opinion...
