Watching the Jeep Super Bowl commercial several times, it suddenly became clear, President Trump is on his way to a 45 state landslide. You are way out over your skis, some will say. Get this guy some smelling salts! What about the nonstop investigations? What about Stormy Daniels and Robert Mueller? What about the angry Left and their apologists in the national media? What about Mr. Trump’s prickly, in your face persona? What about the feckless Congressional Republicans and the never Trumpers? What if the trade talks with the Communist Chinese come up empty? Watching the Jeep ad, it became crystal clear. None...

In a new Washington Post poll released today, American Latinos have a more favorable view of the GOP, besting the Democratic Party among the nations fastest growing demographic group. In a survey conducted between December 11-14, 52 percent of Hispanic Americans view the Republican Party favorably, while 37 percent have an unfavorable view of the Party of Lincoln. In contrast, 40 percent of Latinos have an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party, while 48 percent rate them favorable. The poll suggests that large numbers of Americans, of all demographic groups, are moving toward the right, as the GOP holds a...

President Trump said Monday that he's opposed to allowing immigrants into the U.S. who are dependent on welfare, citing the country's already extensive financial commitments. "I don’t want to have anyone coming in that’s on welfare,” Trump told Breitbart News in an Oval Office interview. “We have a problem, because we have politicians that are not strong, or they have bad intentions, or they want to get votes, because they think if they come in they’re going to vote Democrat, you know, for the most part," he added.

...In 2010, Lt. Col. (retired) Oliver North visited the ranch where Ashurst lives. He was working on documentaries called “War Stories.” He was accompanied by Chuck Holton, a freelance war correspondent and former U.S. Army Ranger who has worked with North on his films and books. When the caravans of illegal immigrants began forming last year in southern Mexico, Holton was sent there to report on them. Ashurst shared some of the information he received from Holton. The migrants are not being paid to join the caravans, but they are being supported and encouraged to join by opposition political elements...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi scolded Americans late last week for being against a Democrat measure that allows illegal aliens the right to vote. During a press conference in Austin, Texas, Pelosi argued that America must not suppress the vote of newly arrived legal immigrants, including those who arrive in caravans at the U.S.-Mexico border.

If Democrats thought that turning on Leftist Starbucks founder and former CEO Howard Schultz was going to dissuade him from taking part in the 2020 electoral process or, to their horror, even running as an Independent for president, they were wrong. Not only has Schultz not slinked off into the dark battered and silenced, but he is also continuing to take the Democratic Party’s extreme Left to task, especially its newest rising star, Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.). While Schultz certainly veers way Left when it comes to so-called ‘human-caused climate change,’ amnesty for illegal aliens, banning ‘assault weapons,’...

FULL TITLE: Sign: ICE now detaining 50,000 in all-time high, and yet Congress continues to oppose POTUS Trump’s emergency declaration The number of people being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement has reached an all-time high of 50,000 as migrants from Central America and Mexico continue to stream towards the United States, deepening the humanitarian crisis. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen testified to a Democrat-controlled House this week that the federal government and, specifically, her border agencies, are fast running out of resources to deal with the rising numbers of migrants as well as space to detain them....

It’s hard to believe that the Democratic Party has managed to shred itself so quickly after so many years of unwavering support from media and culture outlets. The Clintons - perhaps the shadiest political dynasty of our modern age - enjoyed nearly absolute cover when it came to news of their misdeeds; news that should have made anyone with a shred of intellectual honesty even just slightly curious. Look at what Bill Clinton has survived even in the era of #MeToo. Even if you don’t believe the rape charges against him, the Lewinsky fiasco and the Clinton’s ensuing, merciless take-down...

Washington (AFP) - US authorities created a secret database of journalists and activists linked to a caravan of Central Americans who tried to enter the US last year from Mexico, NBC reported. In some cases authorities flagged their passports for alerts, said the San Diego, California affiliate of NBC. It cited documents leaked to it by a source in the Department of Homeland Security who requested not to be named. It said these documents list people who officials thought should be screened at the US-Mexico border. They included 10 journalists, seven of them US citizens, an American lawyer and 47...

The first rule of First Veto Club is not to talk about why you joined First Veto Club. And the second rule of First Veto Club is … well, you get the idea. The White House hopes Senate Republicans get the idea too, as it prepares for Trump’s first exercise of the presidential power to nullify a nullification: The White House told Senate Republicans on Monday to “keep their powder dry” ahead of a vote to nullify President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border as the administration worked to limit defections on a measure rebuking...

Immigration alone doesn’t seem to be a silver bullet for winning Hispanic and Latino votes. Before Trump entered the national political scene, Pew found that only 34 percent of Hispanic registered voters said immigration was “extremely important” to them personally. --- But it is worth noting that Trump, the loudest immigration restrictionist the GOP has run in the modern era, hit the same floor as other Republicans. I’m not the first person to notice this, but it’s a key detail. It suggests that a conservative position on immigration isn’t radioactive to every Hispanic or Latino voter. Democrats who dream of...

“Tonight we are celebrating because we engaged and empowered our community and we won!” exclaimed Ilhan Omar in an August 14 press release. “Our campaign staff, our volunteers, and the people of the Fifth Congressional District are the inspiration we need to get up every day and fight for a democracy that guarantees a more just and equitable society. Together, each and every one of us are the inspiration we need to keep fighting for a democracy that gets us closer to the American promise of prosperity for all and the hope for a better tomorrow. The inspiration we need...

SNIP It was the summer of 2014, and Melvin, a 36-year-old mother of three, had just completed the journey from her native Guatemala, crossing the Rio Grande on a raft before being led to the house in the Texas border city of McAllen. For weeks in that locked room, the men she had paid to get her safely to the United States drugged her with pills and cocaine, refusing to let her out even to bathe. “I think that since they put me in that room, they killed me,” she said. “They raped us so many times they didn’t see...

WASHINGTON (AP) — One by one, the Republican senators floated their ideas. They were trying to find a way out of a seemingly impossible dilemma: how to support President Donald Trump's U.S.-Mexico border wall without approving the national emergency declaration he invoked to build it. And one by one, during a private lunchtime meeting that ran hot at times, they found no easy answers. As a deadline for voting looms, it's increasingly clear that Republican senators are deeply uncomfortable with Trump's use of executive power to build the wall and desperate to devise a way around the vote. Senators know...

The president’s El Paso rally should have been a tricky affair, with the wall, the shutdown, a counter-rally by local Democrat star Beto O’Rourke. But it was a night of wild surprises At the end of Trump rallies, order breaks down and people are tired. To those seeking to shock, injure, annoy or make a point, it’s go time. In El Paso, on the US’s southern border, at Trump’s first campaign-style rally of 2019, two people unfurled the flag of the Soviet Union. This happened inside the El Paso County Coliseum. I was outside in the parking lot, with about...

OXON HILL, Md. — The Koch political network for the first time plans to intervene in GOP primaries as part of a deliberate 2020 strategy to reverse years of essentially rubber-stamping the Republican Party in general elections. Disappointed with Republicans in Congress and occasionally at odds with President Trump, the coalition of political groups overseen by Charles Koch has been re-evaluating its engagement in federal campaigns. Playing in GOP primaries to elect more like-minded Republicans to the House and Senate is key tactical adjustment the network has agreed to, with a top Koch official confirming that incumbents could be targeted...

The Texas Department of Public Safety's "Gang Threat Assessment" from 2018 shows Tangos in Austin had “the highest number of arrests for homicide and sexual assault” and “continue growing at a fast rate and maintain the highest membership numbers among all Texas-based gangs.” The FBI warns Tango Blast works with cartels and ranks in the top three gangs for cross-border crimes, including child sex trafficking. “They are associated sometimes with the cartels that are pushing narcotics through the I-35 corridor, and into the city itself. They are associated with them, but we don’t see random acts of violence with [other]...

Tennessee GOP Sen. Lamar Alexander told President Trump on Thursday that he should reconsider his decision to declare a national emergency at the southern border or face a possible Republican rebellion. Alexander, who is retiring, refused to say whether he would join three other Republicans — Susan Collins of Maine, Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska — in voting against the declaration.

The NYPD is warning police officers about a possible threat from the MS-13 gang, particularly when they are off-duty. CBS2’s Dick Brennan reports that in a bulletin the NYPD put out this alert: “Members of MS-13 are looking to ‘hit’ NYPD police officers, specifically in the Brentwood/Central Islip area as well as possibly Patchogue.” The bulletin says that the gang members would carry out the attacks on off-duty officers “in order to gain street credibility.” While the threat has not been substantiated, law enforcement experts say this cannot be taken lightly. “Whenever a law enforcement officer is being threatened, especially...
