A study by a research team from the University of Pennsylvania found that eating fish at least once a week can raise children’s IQ by nearly 5 points in the Wechsler Intelligence Scale. San Jose residents are being asked to keep an eye out for people setting illegal fish traps in local waterways after city workers and South Bay Clean Creeks Coalition volunteers recently broke up several found in the Guadalupe River. A coalition of commercial fishing groups filed a lawsuit on Tuesday to challenge the creation of a national monument off the coast of New England. President Barack Obama created the monument in September using executive authority under the Antiquities Act.
