GREENVILLE, Mich.- A 28-year-old man is dead after a fight inside a home Saturday morning in Greenville. According to Greenville Dept. of Public Safety Director Mark Reiss, officers in the area of the 100 block of S. Barry Street heard a single gunshot around 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 28-year-old man from Gowen deceased on the floor, naked. The man had been shot by the homeowner.

Four teenagers are being charged with capital murder in the fatal mugging of 87-year-old Lawrence E. 'Shine' Thornton of Greenville, Mississippi. Shine’ was a World War II veteran and a famous personality in the Delta region for his hot tamales. They were known as ‘Maria’s Famous Hot Tamales’, named after his wife Mary. GREENVILLE, S.C. -- An abandoned dog is recovering after his eyes were gouged out. The North Greenville Animal Hospital had to remove both eyes of the 2-year-old dog. "This dog really didn't have any other injuries, so we wonder if it's an abuse situation where someone actually traumatized the eyes," said Dr. Ann Malphrus of North Greenville Animal Hospital. GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Authorities have arrested a woman they say left the infant she had just delivered in a toilet at a South Carolina sports and concert arena. Police Chief Terri Wilfong says the 25-year-old woman from Easley is a married mother of a 4-year-old. Authorities say Jessica Blackham was arrested on Tuesday night after she came to the Greenville police station accompanied by family members.
