Conspiracy theorist Bob Knodel was heard admitting in a Netflix documentary with a fellow Flat Earther that he had splashed out $20,000 for the gyroscope experiment where it showed the Earth is round A Flat Earther proved that we live on a globe after his experiment costing $20,000 went badly wrong for him. Conspiracy theorist Bob Knodel has a YouTube channel that focuses on the wild claim that the Earth is actually flat and it is a belief that is surprisingly gathering a growing community of believers. NASA Hubble's designers prepared for gyroscope failure by equipping the observatory with a backup. Unfortunately, when one of Hubble's gyroscopes conked out in early October, the backup didn't work as expected -- it was rotating too fast and hence won't be able to hold the telescope in place when it needs to stay still and lock in on a target. NASA has since been able to reduce its rotation rates and fix its issues by implementing an age-old fix for malfunctioning electronics: turning it off and on again. Back to science! @NASAHubble is well on its way to normal...

The Flight That Wasn’t Mark Hosenball and Christian Caryl NEWSWEEK From the magazine issue dated Dec 1, 2008 Only weeks before dropping North Korea from an official U.S. blacklist of countries that support terrorism, the Bush administration apparently thwarted the transfer of missile parts (possibly including gyroscopes for guidance systems) from Pyongyang to Iran, U.S. officials tell NEWSWEEK. On Aug. 4, an Ilyushin aircraft operated by North Korea's state airline was granted routine permission by India to fly from Burma to Tehran via Indian airspace. Three days later, the office of India's prime minister "hurriedly" asked authorities to withdraw clearance,...
