In an assault on the First Amendment and the free press, a Washington DC jury has convicted journalist Stephen Horn of four misdemeanor charges stemming from his reporting of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill protest-turned-riot. A man has been charged with fatally shooting a Marine in the drive-thru of a McDonald's in Bedford, Indiana, according to police and NBC affiliate WTHR. Justin Lampkins, 25, was in a truck with his friends in line at the fast food restaurant early Saturday morning about 1:19 a.m., police say. The Marine Corps veteran was involved in a fight after “a horn was sounded” in the line and Evan Schaffer,22, got out of his car and punched Lampkins, WTHR reports. Poachers have broken into a French zoo, killing a four-year-old white rhinoceros and sawing off its horn. Keepers found the dead animal, named Vince, in the African enclosure of the zoo at Thoiry, west of Paris, on Tuesday morning. It had been shot in the head and its large horn removed with a chainsaw. LARKSPUR, Colo. – A Colorado teen said a bear got into his empty car, honked the horn and sent it rolling into a thicket with the bear inside. .. he and his family were asleep in their Larkspur home, 30 miles south of Denver, during the joyride early Friday. Two men suspected of burglarizing a neighbor's home were shot in the back by Pasadena homeowner Joe Horn after the suspects ventured into his front yard, Pasadena police disclosed Friday.
