The Salt Lake City Tribune editorial board published an editorial on Saturday that called on the Utah governor to use the National Guard to prevent unvaccinated citizens from going anywhere. In an editorial titled, "Utah leaders have surrendered to COVID pandemic, the Editorial Board writes" the paper lays blame at elected officials for failing to mandate the vaccine for all citizens. The paper asserted that if Utah was a "civilized place," Republican Gov. Spencer Cox would implement a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the state and have the National Guard enforce the mandate by not letting unvaccinated people go "anywhere." "Were...

CANBERRA, Australia (AP) – While people are now able to travel freely in Australia’s more populated east, COVID-19-free Western Australia will maintain its tight restrictions into next year, state leaders said Friday. Western Australia is the largest state, covering a third of Australia’s land area. It also has the nation’s lowest vaccination rates, in part because the state has had few infections and life has been relatively normal throughout the pandemic.

It is sad when somebody put a key on the door, even though they don’t have money for two or three months. Right now, we don’t need that,” says Luis Falcon, who son was locked out of his apartment. “This is the first flagrant...

The San Diego City Council voted six to two Monday for an ordinance saying gun owners must lock up their firearms or disable them in the home. Fox 5 reports that the council’s six Democrat members all voted for the gun control, which is designed to force firearms to be locked up or be disabled even if no minors are present in the home. ABC 10 reports that gun owners cannot legally store their firearms in just any lockbox, but they must be in a “Department of Justice-approved lockbox.” No indication was given for how much a DOJ approved lockbox...

All Seattle Seahawks players stood for the national anthem with arms locked before their game Thursday night against the Arizona Cardinals to honor members of the military. It comes at the start of the NFL's "Salute to Service" weekend in honor of Veterans Day. Defensive end Michael Bennett, who has sat during the anthem for most of the season to highlight racial and social injustice, said the team did it to make it clear that they support the military and veterans, according to NBC Sports play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico.

MANILA - The Supreme Court issued a temporary restraining order on Monday halting a territorial deal between the government and Muslim separatists, the latest setback for peace in the nation's volatile south. The agreement between Manila and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), the country's largest Muslim rebel group, was set to be signed in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday after more than 10 years of stop-start talks. The government, whose commitment to a permanent political solution for the south has sometimes been questioned, said it welcomed the court's move. "I feel this is a relief," said Jesus Dureza, President Gloria...

HOW LONG BEFORE THE A.D.L. KICKS OUT ALL ITS JEWS?October 31, 2007 The Anti-Defamation League is to Jews what the National Organization for Women is to women and the ACLU is to civil libertarians. They represent not Jews or women or civil libertarians, but the left wing of the Democratic Party. In the paramount threat of our time, the Democratic Party is AWOL. And those are the patriotic Democrats. The rest are actively aiding the enemy. The blood of millions of Israelis is at stake, and the ADL is flacking for a party that yearns to surrender to the terrorists....

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The U.S. Supreme Court declined today to hear a challenge to Alabama's ban on the sale of sex toys, ending a nine-year legal battle and sending a warning to store owners to clean off their shelves. An adult-store owner had asked the justices to throw out the law as an unconstitutional intrusion into the privacy of the bedroom. But the Supreme Court declined to hear the appeal, leaving intact a lower court ruling that upheld the law. Sherri Williams, owner of Pleasures stores in Huntsville and Decatur, said she was disappointed, but plans to sue again on...

Fault East of Bay Area 'Locked and Loaded' Saturday March 25, 2006 7:31 PM By SCOTT LINDLAW Associated Press Writer HAYWARD, Calif. (AP) - New cracks appear in Elke DeMuynck's ceiling every few weeks, zigzagging across her living room, creeping toward the fireplace, veering down the wall. Month after month, year after year, she patches, paints and waits. ``It definitely lets you know your house is constantly shifting,'' DeMuynck said. So do the gate outside that swings uselessly 2 inches from its latch, the strange bulges in the street and the geology students who make pilgrimages to her cul-de-sac. DeMuynck...
