People often fear for their own safety, or for their children or pets, when they learn about coyotes in their neighborhoods. But as an interdisciplinary team studying how people and coyotes interact in urban areas, we know that peaceful coexistence is possible – and that these creatures actually bring some benefits to cities. Our team is working to learn how people feel about coyotes in their urban communities so that we can identify the best ways to foster positive human-coyote relationships. In Madison, we’ve found that many people appreciate coyotes and are likely to respond positively to messages that highlight...

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Department of Fish & Wildlife is asking boaters and anglers to enjoy loons from a safe distance this summer. Vermont Wildlife biologist Doug Morin says most areas where loons are nesting on Vermont’s lakes are surrounded by signs reminding people to give loons the space they need, but not all are marked. “We’re asking people to view loons using binoculars rather than from up close, whether they are in a boat, a canoe or a kayak,” he said in a statement. Eric Hanson of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies says most people are respectful...

The best kept secret of the pandemic — kept secret especially by our perma-doom-saying public-health authorities — is that the COVID-19 vaccines work. They work very, very well. Yes, even the Johnson & Johnson product just put on pause because of a one-in-a-million side effect. The vaccines have shown incredible results in fighting off serious cases of COVID-19. These shots are scientific miracles — and you should take one at the first opportunity.

We knew from the very beginning that our child didn't fit the mould. Ryder preferred dresses and pink sparkly clothing from the moment he could crawl to the cupboard and pull out his own clothes. They belonged to his sister but he wanted to wear them and so he did. His sister wasn't impressed at first but as long as they weren't her favourite outfits, she soon adjusted. At three, he wanted to grow his hair out. He went to preschool with dresses and pigtails. When the other kids were confused, Ryder just shrugged. He didn't feel the need to...

7-Eleven’s plan to demolish one of its east Santa Rosa stores and several surrounding buildings to build a sleek new convenience store and add gas pumps has sparked opposition from activists who oppose new fossil fuel outlets in Sonoma County. Texas-based 7-Eleven aims to replace the existing shop at Highway 12 and Middle Rincon Road with a new 24-hour convenience store and at least six gas pumps, according to an application filed with Santa Rosa planning officials. Designs call for demolishing the store, a martial arts studio and at least one adjacent home, forcing longtime tenants to find another place...

The seven-hour marathon Democrat town hall on climate change broadcast by CNN gave free rein to the worst impulses of the presidential contenders who participated. Even those who couldn’t participate chimed in later with their own coercive schemes designed to radically transform and impoverish everyone in order to save the planet from a vividly imagined doom that lies just over the horizon. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass) vowed to ban all fossil fuels by the year 2035. She characterized her plan as “more practical and merciful than Sen. Sanders’ plan to nationalize all the power companies. On the one hand, we...

This 3:42 minute video, posted by Dustin Nemos on Dtube, describes the swift retaliation by Google to silence EFFECTIVE conservative voices on Youtube. Especially, young, hip voices that are capable of reaching the young, digital native population that is currently being exploited by the MSM and Co. In response, two savvy hipsters, Dustin and Isaac Green, are re-directing to DTube in order to carry on with their mission. This may spell trouble for Youtube, as these guys are leading the way for a paradigm shift toward open sourced, de-centralized platforms. Is Youtube on a suicide mission?Censoring/banning is very difficult on...

Chris Cuomo spent the entirety of Thursday’s New Day on a crusade to push the Democratic Party’s narrative on the Trump-Russia situation. He proclaimed that President Trump has shown “clear intent to influence this Russia investigation, even after the appointment of a special counsel.” If you were thinking, “how did Trump demonstrate this intent?” Well, apparently Donald Trump’s tweets are “clear” enough evidence for Cuomo to assume that Trump is trying to shut down the investigation. {..snip..}

While I have stood fast in my call to those who engage in sodomy to repentance rather than face either God's justice or man's justice against them under God (Romans 13:1-5), we are now beginning to see several people step up in various states and are pushing the people to recognize the natural moral, and even written, law of God against those who engage in sodomy. The Michigan State Senate recently cleared a bill, SB 0219, that will move on to the House, which would once again recognize sodomy as a crime. The bill is addressing animal cruelty. However,...
