Christopher Wood, screenwriter on two big James Bond films of the 1970s, has died, Roger Moore said on Twitter. Wood, 79, was brought on to write 1977’s The Spy Who Loved Me by the movie’s director, Lewis Gilbert. He came aboard after various scribes — Richard Maibaum, Stirling Silliphant, Cary Bates and others — had tried their hand at a story for the 10th 007 film.

IT might not be the best Bond film but the music for Moonraker by Yorkshire-born composer John Barry is out of this world. Thirty six years after Roger Moore saved the world from baddies Hugo Drax and Jaws, fans of the late John Barry’s work are banding together to raise £25,000 for the entire film score to be re-recorded by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

Richard Kiel, who became famous for portraying the James Bond villain, Jaws ... died Wednesday afternoon at the age of 74 ... TMZ has learned. Kiel starred in dozens of movies over the span of 50 years ... though his Jaws character became his most iconic role after debuting in 1977's "The Spy Who Loved Me" alongside Roger Moore. He returned in "Moonraker" two years later.

If New Orleans is rebuilt jsut where it is, it will always risk flooding. Well... how about they work *with* that? Instead of streets, have water-filled canals. Boats instead of cars. Homes and buildings on stone pillars to get 'em above the water, but surrounded *by* water. Heck, might even spur on development of practical amphbious family cars.
