If President Joe Biden — who has polled as the least popular president in modern history — is reelected in 2024, his top priority on day one of his second term is the killing of the unborn. During an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday, Biden deputy campaign manager Quentin Fulks said Biden would prioritize abortion and restoring Roe v. Wade on the first day of his second term. When the Supreme Court issued its Dobbs decision in June of 2022, it overturned Roe v. Wade, a 1973 decision that had invented the Constitutional “right” to abortion. “You...

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM)- More than 65,000 people filled Cowboys Stadium to see one of the most polarizing figures in America: Glenn Beck. Thousands of Beck supporters traveled from various states to hear his message.

As part of our coverage of Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally Saturday, CBS News commissioned the company AirPhotosLive.com to offer an independent estimate of how many people showed up for the event. AirPhotosLive.com calculated that there were approximately 87,000 people there, plus or minus 9,000 people. It was the only scientific estimate made of the number of people at the rally. The estimate generated criticism from conservative bloggers as well as from Beck himself, who suggested the rally attracted at least 500,000 people. "The media can diminish the crowd side all they want, but the images speak for themselves," Beck...

The opening prayer of dedication at Glenn Becks "Restoring Honor" rally: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47V-dpiLM78 (Pastor Jehles (Pronounced "Jail") is introduced and invited to give the opening prayer of dedication at approximately the 5minute:14second mark.) was addressed to the "gods", NOT to the one TRUE God who establised America, not to the God of the Bible or of biblical Christianity. We watched the entire "Restoring Honor" event and "Pastor" Paul Jehles OPENING PRAYER in behalf of the nation and everyone assembled which was addressed to the Lord "gods" (plural) was appalling! This "pastor" made a specific point of calling on the "gods" for...

In my Parish I work with the men of the Holy Name Society and also the women of the Sodality to ensure that the numerous sick in our parish are visited regularly. I try to visit the sick at least quarterly on a rolling basis to ensure they have had confession and anointing of the Sick. But, since I am without an assistant priest, as a general rule, I depend on them to bring communion regularly. We met as a group this past week and had an interesting discussion about a concern that a number of them expressed, that of reverence....

BAGHDAD – The Iraqi Ministry of Antiquities recently approached the 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division for help in restoring some modern structures at the base of the 3,500-year-old ziggurat in Aqar Quf, 20 miles west of the Iraqi capital. The ziggurat, a stepped, temple tower, is the Mesopotamian equivalent of the Egyptian pyramids. The MoA hopes a renovation will attract visitors and revitalize the economy while preserving the temple. In response, Soldiers from the 16th Engineer Brigade’s Survey and Design Team recently visited the site to assess the proposed renovation’s electrical requirements. The structures, built in the...

WASHINGTON, Jan. 18, 2007 – In an effort to bolster Iraq’s economy and employ thousands of Iraqis, the United States is working to restart operations at several factories around the country. CAMP HABBANIYAH — Like a surreal version of city street sweepers, Marines here are cleansing Iraq’s roads of unwanted materials. But rather than clearing garbage and leaves, the Marines of Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment conduct daily vehicle patrols to rid roads of improvised explosive devices and insurgents. “We’re keeping the roads safe for fellow Americans and Iraqis,” said Pfc. Brandon S. Kyle, a 21-year-old from Angola, Ind., who drives a vehicle for the Combined Anti-Armor Team Platoon. Kyle said his team has noticed progress since they started working under Regimental Combat Team 5 a couple months back....

CAMP AL QA’IM, Iraq (March 22, 2006) -- After spending seven months of routing out insurgents and stabilizing the Al Qa’im region in western Al Anbar Province, Marines from 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment say they’re leaving the region in better shape then when they arrived last year. The Twentynine Palms, Calif.-based 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment will replace the Camp Lejeune, N.C.-based unit, commonly referred to as “three, six,” in the region as part of a regularly scheduled rotation of U.S. forces in Al Anbar Province. We all know and understand that budget management and leadership requires flexibility, common sense and cooperation. Representing common principles and conviction, Republicans and Democrats were elected to positions of trust and have sworn to serve their constituents. Somehow, many in Sacramento have forgotten their pledges, or ignored them altogether. I am speaking about our state budget fiasco, irresponsibility and double talk we have sadly grown accustomed to. We all remember the golden “surplus years” in California. California Republican Governors have historically; overcome huge and impossible budget deficits. They proceeded to prepare for the future and to protect a golden surplus...

BAGHDAD, Iraq (Army News Service, Sept. 13, 2005) – At least 119 suspected terrorists have been detained since Sept. 10 by Iraqi security forces and Coalition troops in northern Iraq as they continue operations to purge insurgents from the city of Tal Afar, about 30 miles west of Mosul. In a cordon and search Sept. 10, Coalition forces detained 41 individuals suspected of terrorist activity, officials said. Security forces also seized a mortar system with multiple rounds of ammunition and a cache consisting of hundreds of rounds of ammunition. “Operation Restoring Rights is being conducted to remove terrorists and foreign...

When Arnold Schwarzenegger overwhelming won the race for governor last year, he vowed to break the hold that special interests and fringe groups have in Sacramento. But Schwarzenegger found that promise hard to keep, in large part due to something he has no control over - the Legislature. The system under which California elects its legislators is engineered to elevate candidates who hold extremist views on the left and the right. Moderate, centrist candidates stand little chance because Democrats and Republicans conspired together to gerrymander legislative districts. The gerrymandering is so bad that one party or the other is virtually...

OMED: We were reading a Greg Stiles piece about ancient motorbikes in the Medford Mail Tribune, and ran across this paragraph. "Norton is no slouch, but its not as fast as they are now," Glenn says. "The new ones are like an appliance - you turn the key and go. With Norton and Triumph, you have to mess with them regularly, give them tune-ups and preventative maintenance. But I like the feeling of the older bikes and their character." We used to call them 'Snortin' Nortons." (Shown, a '37)The article brought up memoories of an Indian brand bike I bought...
