One of the most accurate aspects about Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza is the use of the word Nazi to describe the terrorist enemy. No other label or historical parallel could capture the chilling ferocious madness – but not scope – of Palestinian butchery of Israelis. The Nazi vilification epithet has now become conventional Israeli discourse in public and media circles with the vivid revelation – in words and photos – of Palestinian savagery and barbarism by Hamas on October 7. Hamas terrorists, without an ounce of inhibition or remorse, shot youth in cold blood at the music festival...

Mayor of Sderot Alon Davidi attacked the government for its failure to put an end to terrorist activity in the Gaza Strip as incendiary balloons and missiles continue to be launched from the Hamas controlled territory into southern Israel. Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi criticized the ceasefire agreement reached with Hamas, asserting that only an operation like “Protective Edge” will achieve long-term quiet. In an interview Tuesday morning with “Ha’olam Ha’boker" on Channel 13, Davidi said that "We don’t need to respond. We need to initiate.” "The reality is complex. We see the real heroes, the parents and the children, the older people who fight against the terrorism that comes from Gaza, and we have to strengthen them and tell them ‘good job,’ and we continue to develop the city and the region, but we have to remember that Protective...

When the news of the New Israel Fund (NIF) paying around $8 million to organizations that provided the Goldstone Report with all its condemnations of Israel, it was clear that the “New Israel” desired by the New Israel Fund is one with more than 9 years of consistent rocket fire. Our organization, Sderot Media Center (SMC), with a yearly budget of close to $200,000, worked tirelessly on a formal report that was requested by the Goldstone Commission itself, which encompassed the impact of the rocket fire on the residents of the Sderot region. Residents of the Israeli border city of Sderot would like actor Mark Ruffalo to visit and learn how they feel living under the constant threat of rocket attacks, after he posted a tweet calling on Israel to lift its blockade on Gaza. Ruffalo also tweeted a link to an online petition that accused Israel of violating international law and keeping Gazans from receiving construction materials to rebuild homes destroyed in last summer’s military conflict between Israel and Hamas. The petition did not mention the terrorist group that controls Gaza. “I invite Mark Ruffalo to come to me for [Sabbath], to...

A rocket fired from Gaza scored a direct hit on a house in the embattled Israeli city of Sderot - but miraculously no injuries were caused as the residents were out at the time. However significant damage was caused to the property itself, and police were called to deal with shrapnel from the rocket. Terrorists usually pack Gaza-made "Kassam" rockets with nails, ball bearings and other pieces of shrapnel to maximise the lethality of the missiles. Several other rockets fired at the same time landed in open areas, including one in the city of Ashkelon and another in the the...

Four days into Operation Protective Edge, over 400 rockets have been fired at Israel, and several Israelis were injured during Friday, even as Iron Dome intercepted most rockets heading into residential areas. The Israeli Air Force has carried out over 1,000 airstrikes on the Gaza Strip; Palestinian reports say at least 100 Palestinians have been killed. Prime Minister Netanyahu says all Gaza casualties are the fault and responsibility of Hamas, which uses Gazans as human shields while Israel does its best to avoid hitting civilians. Netanyahu also says the operation will continue until longterm calm is guaranteed for Israel’s citizens....

Two rockets fired from the Islamist-run Gaza Strip hit a southern Israeli border town on Thursday, drawing condemnation from visiting U.S. President Barack Obama. A group with links to al Qaeda, called Magles Shoura al-Muhahddin, claimed responsibility for the strike on Sderot near the Gaza frontier which wounded no one but damaged the side of a building. In an online statement, the movement said it had launched the rockets during Obama’s visit to show their attacks could not be stopped by Israeli air defenses—a possible reference to Israel’s partially U.S.-funded Iron Dome anti-missile battery. Obama, who was in Jerusalem about...
