Federal prosecutors have impaneled a grand jury to investigate former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe following the Department of Justice inspector general’s report alleging that McCabe approved a media disclosure to advance his personal interests. The Washington Post reported that the grand jury has summoned more than one witness and the case is still underway. It remains unclear who were summoned to testify.

The Morandi Bridge has collapsed in the northern Italian city of Genoa. The bridge, a part of the A10 motorway, is about 100 metres tall, Italian media say. Up to 20 cars may have been involved in the incident, and 11 people are confirmed to have died. Amazingly, one person has been rescued alive from the rubble.
