  • Bernie Sanders reveals 'major plans' to be funded by new taxes, massive lawsuits, military cuts

Bernie Sanders unexpectedly released a fact-sheet Monday night explaining that he'd pay for his sweeping new government programs through new taxes and massive lawsuits against the fossil fuel industry, as well as by slashing spending on the military, among other methods. The move sought to head off complaints from Republicans and some rival Democrats that his plans were economically unrealistic, especially after a head-turning CBS News interview in which the frustrated Vermont senator said he couldn't "rattle off to you every nickle and every dime" about his proposed expenditures. He released his plan on his website just minutes after promising...

Gillette is embracing the LGBT community in a new ad. The shaving giant shared an advertisement on its Facebook page showing a transgender man shaving in the mirror for the first time as his father coaches him. The ad's tagline is "Whenever, wherever, however it happens - your first shave is special."
  • Trump Will Drop Out By Mid-October And Endorse Hillary Clinton (PSA against glue-sniffing)

At this point, whatever happens, the GOP’s chances of winning this election is at best 25%, if Cruz is the nominee. If Trump is the nominee, that falls to 3% at best. The problem is; Trump won’t win … and he won’t let himself lose. If he loses the nomination, I see two possibilities; 1) He immediately endorses his friend, Hillary Clinton. His promises are as genuine as a three dollar bill. 2)He waits until mid-October, when all the ballot papers are printed, and then he’ll endorse his friend, Hillary Clinton.

  • Grow Up! How can anyone be for this spoiled brat?

Of all the many things said about Donald Trump, what was said by Roger Ailes, head of the Fox News Channel, said it all in just two words: "Grow up!" It is amazing how many people have been oblivious to this middle-aged man's spoiled brat behavior, his childish boastfulness about things he says he is going to do, and his petulant response to every criticism with ad hominem replies. He has boasted that his followers would stick by him even if he committed murder. But is that something to boast about? Is it not an insult to his followers, if...

Ok, normally I can handle what Glen has to say. But, what he's been saying the past 2 weeks is scaring the cr*p out of me. Has anyone else been watching him? And does anyone have any feedback on what he's been saying. I honestly don't know enough about economics to gage if what he's saying is far fetched of if our world is on the edge of complete collapse. I do realize we are living in the days before Christ return and I believe what he says will happen at some point. I would just like some feedback. And...

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich defended President Barack Obama’s speech to school children Tuesday, urging “every child” to read the remarks. Some conservative critics have accused the president of trying to “indoctrinate” school children with a speech Tuesday welcoming students back to school, but Gingrich said during an interview on NBC’s “Today Show” that the attacks are without merit. “President Reagan did it, President George H.W. Bush did it,” he said. “I read the speech yesterday when it was posted and I think the White House was smart to post it.” “It’s a good speech,” Gingrich added. “I recommend it...

Just yesterday, Charlie Cook updated his race rankings. I have to say, I think he might have jumped the shark.Reading Cook has felt to me like watching one of my favorite sitcoms. Maybe a bit like Seinfeld: his trajectory this electoral season has seemed like that show. I was with him in the Spring. Good points, well argued. I liked it. Read him every week. Disagreed often (very often!), but the disagreements always got me a-thinkin', which is something I truly enjoy. I checked his site every day. But, slowly but surely, I started to move away from him. He...

June 11, 2006 Save the Sharks By Kathleen Parker The poor shark can get no rest these days. Everyone is jumping him. For those whose shark metaphors stalled on "Jaws," "jumping the shark" refers to the moment when something, usually a dramatic production, runs - or strays from - its course. Coined by Jon Hein (jumptheshark.com), the phrase evolved from the episode of "Happy Days" where the show's writers, apparently out of ideas, had Fonzie literally jump a shark while water skiing. It was so over-the-top that the show was deemed dead by those who monitor such things. People are...
