PHOENIX, Ariz.—The chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors emailed County Recorder Adrian Fontes on the Monday before Election Day, expressing concern over the emergency voting centers Fontes established, according to the document that was obtained exclusively by the Washington Free Beacon. Shortly before 6 p.m. local time Monday evening, the Associated Press called the Arizona senate race for Democrat Kyrsten Sinema over Republican Martha McSally.

The election results for Arizona are in, and Democratic Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema has won, winning the seat held by outgoing Republican Sen. Jeff Flake. It's a puzzling result, not the least because the vote count took a week. In mitigation, there were far fewer warnings of fraud than we are currently seeing in Florida, and the delay was solely the result of 640,000 mail-in ballots that had yet to be counted. And, according to media reports, it's typical of Arizona to take a long time, so it wasn't that unusual. But there was some weirdness: How could 350,000 voters...

Outsiders think of Arizona as one of the reddest states. From Barry Goldwater to anti-immigration hawks like Sheriff Joe Arpaio, our most famous politicians tend to be Republicans. But traditionally, Arizona is rather purple and regularly features tight statewide elections. In the past 45 years, Democrats have held the governorship as often as the Republicans. But in the last decade, the GOP consolidated their hold on power due to the unprecedented organization of the Tea Party and the Left’s hyperbolic anti-Arizona rhetoric in the wake of the illegal immigration debates. (“Vote for us, you dumb racists!” wasn’t the winning message...

Democratic congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema has emerged victorious in Arizona’s hotly contested Senate battle, helping her party make gains in the upper chamber of Congress. Following a hotly contested race where both candidates lead in differing polls, Sinema — Arizona’s 9th Congressional District representative — has defeated Republican congresswoman Martha McSally after nearly a week since Election Day. The back-and-forth election saw both candidates take the lead at different times before the November elections. McSally trailed Sinema for much of the beginning of the campaign, but saw her numbers rise after Sinema — a former activist against the Iraq and Afghanistan...

Republican U.S. Rep. Martha McSally conceded Arizona's U.S. Senate race to Democratic Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema on Monday after the latest vote count showed McSally trailing by more than 38,000 votes out of more than 2.2 million ballots cast. "Congrats to @kyrstensinema. I wish her success," McSally tweeted from her official campaign account. "I’m grateful to all those who supported me in this journey. I’m inspired by Arizonans’ spirit and our state’s best days are ahead of us."

THIS WAS AN ANTI-TRUMP OPERATIION! How about former Arizona State AG Grant Woods,... pretending he was a Republican and cutting ads for Sinema attacking combat veteran McSally, then changing his registration to Democrat a few days after the election. Those spots he cut attacking McSally were lies and fraudulent. He hasn't been a Republican for years.

Two former aides to the late senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) are publicly criticizing the Republican Party for seeking to cast doubt on the results of the Senate race in Arizona, where Democrat Kyrsten Sinema is narrowly edging out Republican Martha McSally. The tweets by Mark Salter on Saturday and John Weaver on Sunday come amid ramped-up scrutiny of the race, in which Sinema leads by a little more than one percentage point.

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D) widened her lead over Rep. Martha McSally (R) in the heated Arizona Senate race after a new round of ballots from Maricopa County were tallied in the Democrat's favor late Friday. The vast majority of the votes tallied Friday came from Maricopa County, the state's largest, where there were an estimated 345,000 uncounted votes prior to Friday's tranche of results. Results from Maricopa were closely divided, with Sinema holding just a 2.5 percentage point lead over McSally on Thursday night. Before Friday's release, Pima County had the next-largest chunk of uncounted ballots. The county, which houses...

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D) has taken a narrow lead over Rep. Martha McSally (R) in a hotly contested race for a U.S. Senate seat in Arizona after a wave of ballots from Maricopa County broke heavily toward the Democrat on Thursday night. Now, with about half a million votes left to count, Republicans are nervous that the votes left to be counted will favor Sinema. Sinema leads McSally by just 9,163 votes out of nearly two million cast, a margin of just 0.48 percentage points. Angela Green, the Green Party nominee, has 43,958 votes. Publicly, McSally’s campaign says it is...

Yesterday, most of the AZ counties dumped their final ballots. The big one was Pima County (Tucwon) which is Enema territory, and she surged into an 8,000 lead. What is unclear at this time is whether this is all of Pima or just, as someone suggested, just 1/3. If 1/3, she will finish Pima +20,000. That seems like terrible news, but Maricopa has 195,000 ballots outstanding. If Enema has a 20,000 lead, McSally will have to break around 55-56% to win. Depending on where the precincts are, that could be impossible or relatively easy: *If Glendale, central Phoenix, Awatukee, or...

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D) took the lead in Arizona’s too-close-to-call Senate race on Thursday night, holding a thin lead of 9,610 votes over Rep. Martha McSally (R). Sinema holds a 0.5-point lead with votes rolling in, predominantly from Maricopa County, according to new numbers from the Arizona secretary of state's website. Votes were also posted from Pinal and Gila counties as well as Pima County, a Democratic-leaning county that’s home to the city Tucson. The tally marks a shift from McSally’s initial 1-point lead as of earlier on Thursday, when the GOP congresswoman was up by 17,073 votes. An Arizona...

@FrankLuntz Frank Luntz Retweeted The AZ Data Guru Sinema’s lead over McSally has expanded to nearly 10,000 votes now after 24,000 ballots were just counted in Pima County. #Midterms2018 Pima County (Tucson) is a very Liberal county. That is why Sinema's lead grew today.

The Republican parties in Yuma, Navajo, Apache, and Maricopa counties filed a lawsuit against all state recorders and the secretary of state late Wednesday, as the Arizona U.S. Senate race still hangs in the balance. What is the issue? The groups are challenging how Arizona counties verify signatures on mail-in ballots that come into the polls on Election Day, according to a complaint obtained by the Arizona Republic. Arizona’s U.S. Senate race has no declared winner because it is too close to call. Results following Tuesday’s election showed that Republican Martha McSally earned 49.4 percent of the vote and Democrat...

On midterm election eve, Arizona Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema came out in support of a position that her liberal colleagues have called racist, ridiculous, and a total political stunt: If you’re wondering how the #Caravan is playing outside the beltway — Democrat @kyrstensinema of Arizona #azsen just told me she supports Trump sending 5000 troops to the border. At Trump’s rally in Tennessee, many said #bordersecurity was their #1 issue

One wonders what Arizona Democrat Kyrsten Sinema and candidate for the Senate seat being vacated by Republican Jeff Flake thinks of the news that the five members of the Taliban, dubbed their “Dream Team”, that President Barack Hussein Obama traded for the traitor and deserter Bowe Bergdahl, have officially returned to the Taliban, their mission once again to kill Americans and, presumably, Arizonans. Let me take a wild guess and suggest that it is doubtful Sinema will express condemnation of and regret for Obama’s move to honor to excuse a traitor and reward an enemy of the United States, an...
