    02/03/2023 3:52:01 PM PST · by conservative98 · 11 replies
    - The U.S. Treasury Department today announced new vehicle classifications that will allow more vehicles to qualify as SUVs and get the newly updated EV tax credits. - The new rules consider the Cadillac Lyriq, the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Tesla Model Y, and others to be SUVs and thus eligible under a higher $80,000 MSRP limit. - The rules change is retroactive, so anyone who bought a vehicle since January 1, 2023, that now qualifies can claim the credit.

The following rich liberal hypocrites who criticized Trump’s “tax cuts for the rich” have all used legal tax shelters to legally lower their own taxes Liberals are criticizing Trump’s “tax cuts for the rich.” But this is how these liberals actually behave. The following rich liberals have all used legal tax shelters to legally lower their own taxes. I am not criticizing their legal use of these legal tax shelters. I am criticizing their hypocrisy:Debbie Wasserman SchultzThe Weekly Standard reports:Disclosure forms reveal that Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a member of Congress from Florida, previously held funds with investments...

Unexpected tax revenue to shrink U.S. budget deficit By MarketWatch Last Update: 3:35 PM ET Jul 8, 2006 NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- An unexpected spike in revenue from corporate taxes, individual stock market profits and executive bonuses is curbing the projected budget deficit this year, according to a media report. The White House on Tuesday is expected to say that tax receipts are about $250 billion higher than they were a year ago, rising twice as fast as the administration forecast, the New York Times reported Saturday. As a result, the budget deficit will be about $100 billion less than...

With the election season coming into the home stretch, the cry of "Tax cuts for the rich!" is ringing out across the land from Democrats desperate to regain power in Washington. Like many other political slogans, its popularity depends on slippery words and sloppy thinking. First of all, just what does "rich" mean? And does it have any relevance to the kinds of tax cuts at issue? The recent release of some of Teresa Heinz Kerry's tax records reveals as much about the confusion over this issue as it does about her financial situation. The Kerrys are clearly rich, with...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: The New York Times has done it again, and they are quoting the Congressional Budget Office, I don't think accurately. Here's the headline: "Report Finds Tax Cuts Heavily Favor the Wealthy." Now, the New York Times is actually blaming Reuters in this story, because they're the first ones that did it. Let me tell you what The Times says and then we'll give you the truth and this is why we keep the information on who pays what in taxes permanently at RushLimbaugh.com, because you're going to see this story in the New York Times today and...

This is not going to please Jonathan Chait of The New Republic who has admitted that he hates George W. Bush. This is from an Associated Press story, "Flush with extra cash from tax cuts, America's consumers treated themselves in August and spent with gusto, which is good news for the economy's revival. Many analysts believe that the economy is growing at a rate in excess now of 5% in the current quarter…" This AP writer, Jeannine Aversa, whether she knows it or not, has now linked the Bush tax cuts to rapid economic growth, which Jonathan Chait at the...

Consumer spending in August jumped 0.8 percent, it was announced Monday -- for which many naturally blamed the Bush tax cuts. Well, I mean, there had to be something amiss here -- something to blame, censure and fault. Consensus, or what is routinely reported as such, has for weeks had us scowling about the tax cuts that mean ol' Mr. Bush gave us early in his presidency. The nerve of him anyway, trying to stimulate the economy by allowing workers and investors to keep, across the board, more of the fruits of their hard work! This sort of thing is...
