LONDON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said he intends to run for re-election in 2020 because “everybody wants me to” and there are no Democratic candidates who could defeat him, the Mail on Sunday newspaper reported. Asked by British journalist Piers Morgan in an interview given on Friday whether he was going to run in 2020, Trump was quoted by the Mail on Sunday as saying: “Well I fully intend to. It seems like everybody wants me to.” Trump said he did not see any Democrat who could beat him: “I don’t see anybody. I know them all and...

Thanks to the exaggerated outrage of the mainstream media and the attention-seeking protests of London leftists, a narrative seems to have set in that the vast majority of British people oppose this week’s visit of President Trump. As a Brit myself, however, I am delighted to confirm this lazy slur could not be further from the truth. In reality, the vast majority of British conservatives (and a good chunk of floating voters too) are coming to admire Trump. His unmistakable approach to politics – straight-talking, honest and completely fearless – is increasingly viewed with envy by British voters tired of backsliding...

‘I’m sorry Mr Morgan, but you can’t sit in that chair. Only the President of the United States of America ever sits in that chair.’ I was in the Situation Room of Air Force One, the airplane used to fly the most powerful human being on earth around the world. Hannah, the presidential aide tasked with escorting me around it, was very polite but also VERY firm. ‘You can in one of those,’ she suggested, pointing to one of the chairs around the Situation Room desk. ‘They swivel.’

Police in Sadiq Khan’s London have used the Public Order Act to prevent a rally in support of U.S. President Donald Trump outside the American embassy, despite permitting a large, ill-tempered anti-Trump rally on Friday. Protestors attending the ‘Welcome Trump’ event had planned to gather outside the embassy and march from there to Whitehall, where they would have joined in with a separate ‘Free Tommy Robinson’ event in support of the activist and independent journalist who was recently imprisoned for contempt of court after reporting on a grooming gang trial. But the Metropolitan Police Force, which answers to a large...

LONDON – Thousands of Trump supporters and right-wing activists took to the nation’s capital on Saturday — a day after anti-Trump protesters had dominated the city. While the displays of right-wing support were nowhere near as large as the enormous anti-Trump march that demanded the international media’s attention the day before, it was still a significant show of support for Trump from those eager to counter the claim that Trump had been unanimously rejected by Britons. The day started with a small pro-Trump rally outside the U.S. Embassy, featuring numerous red “MAGA” hats and U.S. and U.K. flags -- as...

Nearly 250,000 activists descended on the streets of central London today to protest Donald Trump's visit to the UK, organisers said. Protesters marched through the capital carrying placards reading "Dump Trump" and "Star Spangled Gobs***". Aerial images showed the streets of central London from Portland Place to Trafalgar Square packed with tens of thousands of people taking part. Stop Trump, the group which organised the biggest march, said that there were 250,000 people taking part. The day began with the unveiling of the Trump baby blimp in Parliament Square, which was crowdfunded by campaigners furious that Mr Trump was being...

Britain’s former trade commissioner in Brussels, Lord Mandelson, is making common cause with hardline, anti-EU Tories, saying Theresa May’s latest Brexit blueprint would lead to “national humiliation” and leave the country in a worse position than if it turned its back on the entire European economic system. In an extraordinary intervention that shows that even the most ardent Remainers in parliament find the plans unacceptable, the Labour peer says the plans would deliver “the polar opposite of taking back control”, and would mean “the EU would ultimately call the shots, not just now but indefinitely”. Writing in the Observer –...

This was an appalling security breach that could have resulted in dozens killed and wounded–including President Trump. Friday night soon after Trump arrived at his Trump Turnberry golf club in Scotland, a Greenpeace protester flying a motored paraglider with a large anti-Trump banner hanging below flew within yards overhead of Trump who was outside receiving guests, forcing him to race inside with his Secret Service detail. Inexplicably, first U.K. security on the perimeter and then U.S. security on top and around the building allowed the paraglider to fly unmolested over Trump, members of his national security team, senior administration officials...

A brave woman has revealed how she was brutally raped and abused by more than 70 men - but most are still walking the streets today. Kate Elysia, who was 18 when she was first raped, says she believed she was an inhuman "sex thing" after being repeatedly attacked. A victim of grooming gangs, she says she was trafficked "all over England" and given to many men - sometimes up to 10 in one night. “They degraded me to the point where I’d become this sex thing, this thing that wasn’t human, but just an object,” she says in a...

President Trump met with the queen of England today and committed several protocol gaffes that left many feeling that his behavior was an insult to Britain and lacked the respect that should be shown the monarch — and if not a monarch, a 92-year-old woman. The president was soundly condemned on social media for walking in front of Queen Elizabeth as they inspected a guard of honor of the Coldstream Guards. The queen was forced to bob and weave as she caught up to walk alongside him. Trump did appear to notice, and in the video below you’ll see that...

The homes of prominent Sinn Fein figures Gerry Adams and Bobby Storey have been attacked with explosive devices, the party said. The republican party condemned the “reprehensible and cowardly” attacks in Belfast on Friday night – with former leader Mr Adams saying no-one was hurt. Gerry Kelly, Sinn Fein’s Policing and Justice spokesman, said two devices were thrown, one of which caused damage to a car. Significant damage was visible to a vehicle on Mr Adams’ driveway in the aftermath of the attack and a blast mark could be seen on the windscreen. A heavy security presence was outside the...

President Trump and Prime Minister Theresa May held a joint press conference today in the UK. After brief statements, Trump and May spent about a half hour taking questions from a large group of assembled media. In the midst of an otherwise orderly press conference, CNN’s Jim Acosta demanded he be given a chance to ask a question. President Trump refused, calling CNN “fake news.â€The way the Q & A worked was very orderly. “We’re going to take four questions each,†Prime Minister May said at the beginning. She then selected the first journalist from the crowd to ask...

British detectives investigating the poisoning of two people by the nerve agent Novichok in southern England say scientists have found the source of the deadly substance. The Metropolitan Police said Friday that a small bottle found during searches of Rowley’s house Wednesday was tested and scientists confirmed the substance in the bottle was Novichok. Police are still looking into where the bottle came from and how it came to be in Rowley’s house. Further tests will be carried out to establish whether it is from the same batch that contaminated Russian ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in March.
