House Speaker Paul Ryan questioned California’s ballot-counting process after Democrats were able to flip several GOP-held seats. The state’s election system “defies logic to me,” he said during an interview with the Washington Post’s Paul Kane. “We had a lot of wins that night, and three weeks later we lost basically every contested California race. This election system they have, I can’t begin to understand what ballot harvesting is.”“We were only down 26 seats the night of the election and three weeks later, we lost basically every California race,” he continued. “This election system they have — I can’t begin to...

Mounting evidence of voter fraud in North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District could indefinitely delay the certification of a winner, as state election officials investigate whether hundreds of absentee ballots were illegally cast or destroyed. The North Carolina State Board of Elections and Ethics Enforcement has no plans to certify Republican Mark Harris’s 905-vote victory over Democrat Dan McCready, according to an agenda of a board meeting scheduled for Friday morning. The board is collecting sworn statements from voters in rural Bladen and Robeson counties, near the South Carolina border, who described people coming to their doors and urging them to...

Undocumented immigrants are already driving on New Jersey's roads, so why not give them a chance to get a driver's license so they can insure and register their vehicles? That's the viewpoint of a handful of state legislators who on Tuesday announced they have introduced a bill that would let undocumented immigrants apply for a license. They argue it'll make the state's roadways safer for everybody and support the Garden State economy. "We can't ignore the reality that undocumented immigrants are on the roads now, going to work, driving their children to school and doing the routine activities that all...

A Texas appeals court upheld the conviction of green card holder Rosa Maria Ortega for voter fraud on Wednesday, cementing a sentence of eight years in jail and a likely deportation. Ortega, a mother of four, reportedly thought she was able to vote because she was a permanent resident. She voted five times between 2004 and 2014 — once for the attorney general, Ken Paxton, who later prosecuted her, according to her attorney. She also reportedly served as a poll worker. "She doesn't know. She's got this [green] card that says 'resident' on it, so she doesn’t mark that she's...

SANTA FE – New Mexico’s midterm election results were certified Tuesday, but not before a dispute over the legality of online absentee ballots applications roiled a meeting of the State Canvassing Board and prompted questions from Gov. Susana Martinez about whether Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver had overstepped her legal authority. While the secretary of state, a Democrat, staunchly defended the program’s legal moorings and the integrity of this year’s general election results, Martinez, a Republican, and others suggested the online absentee ballot requests could open the door to voter fraud. “This is a statutory process, and the statute...

The political climate in the United States has been perpetually explosive for what feels like generations. This sentiment was evident as voters went to the polls for the 2018 midterm election. As a result of this, the 2018 midterm had the highest voter turnout since 1914. Despite the passion exhibited by both parties this election, in the shadow looms a serious issue that can affect the very foundation of our democracy. That issue is the growing distrust in our election results.According to recent surveys, 31% of American voters have “not very much” or “no confidence at all” in our election...

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A former state senator convicted of lying about his residence and three refugees from Vietnam who could face deportation are among 38 people pardoned Wednesday by Gov. Jerry Brown ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Brown’s pardons also include a man who just lost his Paradise home in a wildfire. The Democratic governor also commuted the sentences of 70 people still serving time, including Walter “Earlonne” Woods, who co-hosts a podcast called “Ear Hustle” from inside San Quinton state prison. Former Sen. Roderick Wright was convicted of felony charges of voter fraud and perjury in 2014 when a...

Florida’s Department of Law Enforcement and the Office of Statewide Prosecution said they’ve opened a criminal investigation into allegations of election fraud by Democrats, Capitol News Service reported. Evidence reported to the Department of State suggests Democrats possibly had voters fix ballots after the state’s deadline in at least four counties, the outlet added. The party sent voters cure forms for mail ballots, CNS said, and the return date was changed from the day before the election to two days afterward. ______________________________________________________________ Image source: WCTV-TV video screenshot ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ Image source: WCTV-TV video screenshot __________________________________________________________ The altered forms showed up...

While you were watching the Red Card in Florida, guess what they pulled in California? A nation riveted. Did Florida elect DeSantis their new Governor, or the anti-Semitic crook with the Hamilton tickets and the Tallahassee corruption scandal? Did Florida elect one of its finest-ever Governors, now term-limited, to the United States Senate, or did they go again for the mummy? And for those with Georgia on their minds, did Stacey Abrams finally figure out that 49 percent is less than 50 percent, or is she still working on the new math? Well, it seems for Republicans focused on those...

Nine people face felony charges in connection with a fraud scheme in which they offered cash or cigarettes to homeless people on skid row in downtown Los Angeles in exchange for hundreds of fake or forged signatures on ballot petitions and voter registration forms, prosecutors said. Los Angeles County prosecutors Tuesday announced the charges, which include circulating a petition with false names, voter fraud and registering a nonexistent person during election cycles in 2016 and this year. “They paid individuals to sign the names,” said Officer Deon Joseph, the senior lead officer on skid row, told The Times in September....

... Although we have not observed direct evidence that actors have manipulated the electoral process in any major national or regional election by infiltrating the systems or hardware used to record or tally votes, the sheer complexity of these systems prevents us from categorically stating that these systems have not been successfully compromised ...

Various elections around the country were stolen. Can't find information on vote totals before and after recounts, last minute updates andfinal vote counts. Maybe local FReepers know of some suspicious elections. In NJ and Pa. there were Congressional races where the GOP was ahead and then a few days later they declared the Dem the winner. Nothing else posted. Would love to discuss some elections that many are unaware of. This information needs to come to light.

Bill Mitchell: "One idea to prevent vote fraud would be to inject federally traceable "Key" ballots into every state election. After an election, the feds could trace these "Key" ballots. If a statistical sample of the results do not match up with actual results, it triggers DOJ investigation."

The recount in Florida has put the state’s election machinery to the test, and it has failed miserably: Almost 3,000 votes have vanished, the New York Times reported, while Florida recounts three state and three local elections that have yet to be called. The Florida secretary of state reported 900 fewer votes than were tallied originally, and that number is expected to balloon by 2,000 more votes when results from Broward County are reported. Although this number of votes would not necessarily swing the election from one candidate to another, it’s certainly enough to cause concern. For example, Palm Beach...

Fresh off its bungled machine recount, Broward County’s second day of manual recounting temporarily stopped about an hour after it began Saturday when lawyers from both political parties pointed out that volunteers were counting the wrong ballots. Hundreds of volunteers spent most of Friday sorting through 32,000 overvotes and undervotes in the Senate race between incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson and Republican Gov. Rick Scott. Broward officials announced Friday night they had finished their manual recount. On Saturday, the volunteers started sorting about 22,000 undervotes and overvotes in the contentious contest for Florida Commissioner of Agriculture. That came to a grinding...
