California Rep. Maxine Waters turns 80 years old on Wednesday, and told a cable news host she wants President Trump removed from office for her birthday. An MSNBC host wished Waters a "happy birthday" and the Democrat responded by saying that she wanted Trump to go. "My biggest birthday wish would be that we're able to get a leader of this country who represents us -- who has the respect of all of our allies," Waters said.

Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, one of the most outspoken members of the anti-Trump ‘resistance’ in Congress, is facing fresh questions about a longstanding controversy regarding how her campaign raises money and how those funds have flowed to her daughter. The congresswoman has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars each election cycle from some of her state’s biggest politicians paying to be listed on her slate mailers—sample ballots traditionally mailed out to about 200,000 voters in Los Angeles highlighting whom she supports. Since 2004, the campaign in turn reportedly has paid $750,000 to the congresswoman’s daughter, Karen Waters, or her public...

While Republicans continue to hide their heads in the sand and allow Donald Trump to run roughshod over the Constitution and reality in general, Rep. Auntie Maxine Waters (D-CA) continues to call out Vladimir Putin’s puppet on his lies, hypocrisy and racism. This time around the never scared congresswoman teed off on the laziest president in American history during an interview on MSNBC after she was asked about Trump’s threat to shut down the government if he doesn’t get funding for his border wall. You know, that same border wall he promised Mexico was going to pay for and is...

Michael Avenatti, the attorney representing Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against President Donald Trump, revealed another pre-2016 election “hush money” development in the ongoing scandal enveloping Trump during an appearance in West Hollywood Thursday night. “We represent three additional women that you haven’t heard about yet. We’re in the process of getting clearance from those clients to release details relating to those payments and the efforts to silence those women by AMI, Donald Trump, and Michael Cohen, and I will tell you that at least one of those women claimed to be pregnant at the time, “Avenati said. “So we’re...

Civility in politics has always been a challenge. There are examples of poor behavior going back to the Founding. The two-party system is adversarial, but rules of order and the basic decency of our citizens have been a brake of the outright violence seen in third world countries. In the past eight years that has changed. Our past President, Barack Obama worked hard to sow divisions within our populous, and deepen the rift that most Americans worked so hard to close. Academics pursue these divisions for no other fact than to attempt to push through a socialist agenda. While most...

A package labeled “Anne Thrax” was delivered to the building where Representative Maxine Waters’ district offices are located on Tuesday. Although parts of the building were evacuated, according to CNN, the Los Angeles Fire Department determined that there was no hazard. The Los Angeles Times reports a spokesperson from the LAPD said there was no evidence of any dangerous substance, however, there will most likely be an investigation into where the package came from. The package isn’t the first time Waters has received threats. Time reports she had to cancel two public events in June after receiving a serious death...

Democrats have a socialist problem that they are having trouble sweeping under the rug. The party line appears to be that their new star, self-proclaimed democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is not the face of the party; rather, she's not a radical and doesn't speak for most Democrats. Rep. Maxine Waters went so far as to deny that Democrats are socialists at all. CNBC: The top Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee sent a message to the party's progressive wing on Wednesday, distancing herself from the vocal lawmakers to her left as the party continues to debate its message ahead...

California Rep. Maxine Waters made a bizarre speech at a church in LA in a recently surfaced video, insinuating that God sent her to stop President Trump. In a video first reported on by The American Mirror, Waters said, “You’ve gotta know that I’m here to do the work that I was sent to do, and as pastor said to me when I came in this morning, ‘When God sends you to do something, you just do it!'”

California Democrat Maxine Waters has distanced herself from supporters who burned a US flag outside her office as they counter-protested a far-right militia group. A few dozen supporters made a rebellious appearance outside the congresswoman's Los Angeles office on Thursday to counter the expected protest by the far-right Oath Keepers group. The flag-burning incident occurred soon after the Oath Keepers group failed to show despite vowing that it would rally against the Waters. Photos from the protest show a group stomping on the flag before circling around and cheering when it erupted into flames. The Democratic counter-protesters were heard chanting:...

Rep. Maxine Waters warned supporters on Wednesday of potential "armed protests" against her after an extremist group called for ongoing demonstrations outside her office in Los Angeles. In a lengthy statement issued late Wednesday, Waters, D-Calif., said she’d been notified about forthcoming protests by the Oath Keepers, which she described as "an anti-government militia" that's staged armed protests in cities across the country. She warned her supporters against being "baited" into counter-demonstrations or confrontations with the organization, which she said has a track record of "violent and provocative behavior." "I am requesting those individuals and groups planning a counter-protest to...

Rep. Maxine Waters continued her war of words with President Trump Saturday in Oakland, with the Los Angeles Democrat saying Trump was “embarrassing us every day” during his trip through Europe. “He’s over there supposedly meeting on NATO. He doesn’t know a darn thing about it,” Waters, a Los Angeles Democrat told a meeting of the California Democratic Party’s women’s caucus. “He doesn’t even understand what GDP is. As a matter of fact, he doesn’t even know how to spell his own wife’s name.” (VIDEO-AT-LINK) Waters has been critcized by Trump and by some of her fellow Democrats, including House...

He admitted it must seem far-fetched. In fact, John Phillips kiddingly said he may need to “blow into a breathalyzer, take a drug test and get psychologically evaluated.” But the CNN commentator attempted to make a serious argument that “radical congresswoman” Maxine Waters could be the Democratic nominee for president in 2020, in an opinion piece published Wednesday in the Orange County Register and L.A. Daily News....

California Congresswoman Maxine Waters could become the Democratic nominee for president in 2020. Let me repeat that, so it can sink in: Maxine Waters could be the Democratic nominee for president in 2020. Ok, let me blow into a breathalyzer, take a drug test and get psychologically evaluated before I say it a third time: Maxine Waters could be the Democratic nominee for president in 2020. How is it possible that a radical congresswoman, who was just called “un-American” by the leadership of her own party for encouraging viral confrontations with Trump administration officials, could win the presidential nomination of...

American politics is a wonder for the world to behold. Our free speech traditions produce all kinds of interesting folderol, over the top in its theatrics and yet usually deeply meaningful to those participating in it. It was on display Monday, in front of the United States Supreme Court building, appearing seemingly by magic moments after President Donald Trump announced he’d chosen D.C. Appellate Judge Brett Kavanaugh to replace retiring Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy. The right was there. And the left, each itching to get their point across. They had signs, including some urging opposition to nominees not picked, pre-printed...

The interweaving of political/social references and luxe streetwear designs has become the touchstone of Mexican-American designer Willy Chavarria's fashion shows. For his Fall/Winter 2018 show in February, black and brown models walked down the runway with pained expressions and tears on their faces, possibly symbolizing the effect of police brutality, violence, and other tragedies plaguing minorities. This season, Willy Chavarria debuted his new soccer-inspired collaboration with sportswear brand Hummel. The political references were still there, including a sweatshirt with the word "American" flipped upside down, another sweatshirt flipped the American flag, and then there was Maxine Waters. No, not in...

Is it about time that Congresswoman Maxine Waters be required to attend Anger Management Classes. A series of recent events has inspired some soul searching on the part of democrats who still have a brain. Among them, the call to abolish ICE Sen. Elizabeth Warren: The Massachusetts senator and liberal fixture said Saturday at a rally in Boston: "We need to rebuild our immigration system from top to bottom by starting with replacing ICE with something that reflects our morality." Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y.: Like Warren, she is a potential 2020 contender. Gillibrand decried ICE as a "deportation force" -- a reference to child separation at the border that Trump officials have criticizedas being inaccurately pinned on ICE. She told...
